Texas RAW hides

Sorry for the not so catchy title.LOL.. So where are my Texans at? I am here in Austin Texas. Austin is one of the green states and it such an awesome place. I am brand new to this journey and I cant wait to meet others from my home town and possibly host a pot luck dare I say!

Hey there,

I live in Arlington right now, go to UTA and work in Fort Worth. Not a lot of Raw Veganness up here, but we've got some nice Farmer's Markets! and a Whole Foods! My sister (Danieal) and I are going to a potluck in Denton next week :) yay!

I was born and raised in Austin, but now live in a one horse town in East Texas, lol. Malakoff is just East of Corsicana on hwy 31.
I am scrambling to find organic produce, and other healthy things. I spent the weekend in Georgetown (for a funeral :( ...) and I am there occasionally as family is there.

Hello to all my lovely Texas Raw hides! Today I am off to Whole foods to get ingrediants for some Gaspacho and green drinks. Then Wed I am off to the Farmers market. I guess there is a huge farmers market off Lamar at the chic Triangle. They hold the fartmers market in the evening so thats perfect for me. But first I am taking the hubby to Mothers for some vegetarian food. Justin (AKA Hubby) isnt vegetarian yet but hopefully he will convert or starve Ha Ha.

So where are some of your favorite places you go with non vegan freinds here in town or around our great state?

Donna I have never heard of that town but I am sure you will make it fab!!!!! Hey maybe this is your chance to start your own garden or even dare I say your own smoothie shop. Bring raw to East Texas. Sorry for your loss I just lost a freind to.

I'm in the Victoria area right on the coast, and I do go to Austin sometimes because that's where my bf grew up. It's about 2.5 hr away. I'm about 3 weeks into being mostly raw, so I'm new too.

Hey all. I am here in the great city of Dallas. I am surrounded by raw-friendly grocery stores - Whole Foods and Central Market - and probably some yummy veggie restaurants, but my favorite hideouts are used bookstores!

I just got back from Whole foods and got a beautiful assortment of frruit and veggies that I took some pictures of. I will post them soon. I think I will folow Bunnys lead and photgraph my dishes. I mean what an accomplishment. I was never a cook but this food looks so beautiful I am sure cooking will be a joy.
I got a dehydrator that I will hook up today and do some raw bannan chips on tonight. I cant wait to try them. Ride on Texas Raw Hides!
