Today I am going to let Kevin and Ann Marie Gianni show you how to make their delicious corn salad. I've been trying to come up with lots of salad recipes that don't involve lettuce, to shake things up a little bit. No equipment involved in this recipe- just a knife and a cutting board!
My Day 14 is hectic! So much work to pack in today. Not much time for fun. But made a delicious strawberry coconut smoothie this morning, and am feeling great!
This has been a hectic work day for me too! I had three programs today as we wrap up summer quest. One was cupcake decorating. The little fat kid me loves frosting. I used to eat whole tubs of it. Today I did not taste anything the kids worked with and everything that touched my hands got washed off, not licked off. the real crazy moment was looking at the tub of frosting and seeing it as lard, which it is not, but it looked like lard to me.
It has been two weeks! I can't believe it. I finally get to grocery shop today and I am looking for sunflower seeds!

Day 14 is fabulous!! No complaints here, feeling great moving along. Also need to go grocery shopping as well for some nuts and seeds to do a couple of things with. Wanted to do the mashed potatoes from last week and a broccoli soup that needed some almonds for it. I did want to say something about the whine line. I was talking to a friend of mine this morning about staying positive and remembered a news story I had watched on Dateline or something like that. Anyway a minister of a church had made himself one of those rubber wrist bands that I believe had the words positive on it. He was trying to go 30 days without negative thoughts and everytime he had a negative thought he had to switch wrists. I forgot how long it took him to do this, but he got his congregation started doing it. One women wore out 3 bands before she made it 30 days without a single negative thought. As this spread they started getting orders from all over the world for these wrist bands. The church is now selling these as a fund raiser and they are giving out certificates for their parishoners who make it 30 days. If anyone is interested I can try to find out more information and let you know. Have a great Day 14!! Only 86 more days to go....
bunny love! Try this, best if your produce is fresh from the farmers market or your garden:
Chunks of tomatoe
slices of cukes
various sweet and bell pepper strips
thin strips of red onion
squeeze fresh lemon and add celtic coarse salt and MANGA!
it is fresh and taste amazing, add an avo for creaminess if you need it.

Day 14 is okay for the most part,I told you that hubby is home for the next 2 weeks, for some that may be fun,but we are like oil and water lately so Im trying to see the positive, etc and remember that I love him..yadda yadda yadda
we did go to the local food co-op and joined this past week so we went today to shop for the first time and it was awesome, lots of weird and new veggies and fruits for me to try and the best part, most are organic, and the best part, affordable!!!!! I only have to work there 3 hours a month, small price to pay for giving back to the local community and farms,so Im psyched.
I also am going to make this corn concoction,(not calling it salad),lol tonight because I just bought fresh corn, yippee
Mmmmmm, I need to look around and see if I can find some fresh corn.
Going well so far - picked and ate some snap peas and pole beans from the garden. Discovered that one of my zucchini plants is conspiring to take over my whole plot - it's climbed up the trellis meant for the beans when I wasn't looking, ANd is also climbing into my second plot. But it's producing zucchinis also, so I'm just watching it right now to see what else it does.
We're getting a second round of strawberries, but I always give them all to my son to eat. Kale is in en force, as it has been for awhile now.
I'm waiting for the plums to ripen so I can get them before the raccoons do.
My day 14 has been great too. In fact, I have just come to realize how easy this challenge actually is for me, especially compared to the previous times I tried to go raw.. And I couldn't tell what makes it different from all the other times (many), apart from this wonderful community network so..
Once again, thank you so much Bunny for creating this website!
Today, I had some watermelon for breakfast, then a purple smoothie for brunch (beetroot, spinach, tomato, garlic, oregano, mint, frozen banana) - yummy!, the rest of my beef tomato from last night (so big I couldn't finish it!) with rocket and seed cheese (pine nuts, soaked sunflower seeds, garlic, chives, lemon juice, nutritional yeast), some fruit (pomegranate, persimmon/sharon fruit, dates), a couple of home-made raw chocolates (!) and for dinner, some more beef tomato (!) with kale and guacamole. Why would I ever want to go back to cooked food after such a feast? :-)
Day 14 is wonderful. I feel good, I am not hungry and I am happy. I am dehydrating some mini portabella mushrooms and will eat that over a bed of mixed greens and tomatoes (from my garden). Can't wait. I really have not hit a bump in the road yet and so far it hasn't been too challenging, but there are 86 more days to go :0) I still can't believe that I have completed 2 weeks 100% raw, and it's all because of the support of this great community. Thanks everyone!!!! Lisa
So far so good! Spent the morning at the dentist, not fun, but am unthawing now, so off to make a smoothie!
I'd love to know more about the wrist band, Debi!!! Hannah, too!
