Aloha everybody, Bunny Berry here, if you've made it this far, you've decided to join in to the First Ever Raw Fu 100 Day Challenge!
This is going to be a fun and supportive challenge, so jump in and introduce yourself. Feel free to start discussions, and participate. I'll be working on adding stuff to the forums during the month of July, and will keep in touch as we get closer to the August 1st start date!
In the meantime, go ahead and introduce yourselves. How long have you been raw? What prompted you to start a raw food lifestyle? Talk amongst yourselves!
I tried going raw about 2 years ago, and didn't realize that my crappy feelings were the beginning of a detox, not some bodily cave in - so I gave up. And now, after having practiced yoga and reading up on it, I have decided that raw food is the way to go.
As of this summer, I have lost 11 lbs eating a partially raw diet. This 100 day challenge is my way of kicking it into real time - going raw for real all the way.
I'm excited, yet nervous. I go back to college on the 11th, so there will definitely be some temptations to go away from eating raw. But I have a very supportive boyfriend who has promised to keep me on track. I'm not going to lie, one of my first thoughts was "What about the pizza?!" LoL. But c'mon - there are raw recipes for pizza!! :]
Needless to say, I am very very very excited. I want to lose weight - it isn't a primary factor in going raw, but it sure is a nice incentive. I'm doing this because I feel like absolute crap after eating cooked, processed foods. and I feel 10x better eating fruits n veggies with the occassional nut. I have always been overweight, and this is my chance to reverse my own damage to myself. Like I said, weightloss isn't the primary goal here - but hot damn, I would kill to fit into a size 6!! :P
Hi Raw foodies! I am Celeste and live in Columbia Missouri. I have been a vegetarian for 12 years. Meaning no meat such as fish, chicken, turkey etc. It is funny when I tell people that I am a vegetarian they ask "do you eat chicken? do you eat fish?" "I couldn't do that" "what do you do for protein?" LOL It is nice that they are curious though! This site is amazing. I have wanted to go vegan for years but I am skipping a step now and going vegan raw! I deserve it. You deserve it! We deserve to live forever!! As soon as I saw this site I was 80% raw instantly, now I am 100% raw! And that is without a vitamix. I have one on order by the way. I bought Ani Phyo's uncook book, really great. If anyone has any recipe books to recommend let me know please! I am here for you guys for support, anything I can do ...let me know ok? I own my own massage therapy business and am a personal trainer too, I absolutely love it! I am pretty sure that Arizona is calling me, we'll see what happens! I really enjoy helping people to heal and will continue to do that wherever I go. Unlimited Blessings!
My name is Francine Bray and i'm 26 years from England. My raw journey started back in September last year and although my diet has been high raw, I have always been drawn to being 100% as it feels like it may be the best choice for me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have just recently been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I also suffer with eczema and asthma so I figure there is no better time than now to kick my butt into action and take up the challenge! Looking forward to connecting with you like-minded people during the journey. Bring it on!
Oh and thank you Bunny for putting your time and energy into creating this for all of us! You're AMAZING!
I have been raw since May 4 and plan on always being raw. I used to feel tired all the time and I would sleep for 12 or more hours and wake up tired! Ive always been health conscious, but I was eating too much of all the wrong things and starving myself on unrealistic diets. By the end of my second year in college I was basically eating whatever I wanted, gaining weight, and feeling horrible on top of all the stress I was under and my lack of sleep. Im 20 years old and I am never going back to living the typical young adult lifestyle...ever! Im eating the foods that God intended for us to eat! He created the Garden of Eden and it was perfect. Adam and Eve ate living perfect food; no meat, no cooking, no genetic alterations, and no pesticides. This is why I am going raw, because it makes sense and it works. People sometimes think that Im prideful because I want to eat healthy, because eating healthy is so many times associated with losing weight. I am not solely going raw to lose weight. Although I have lost 8 lbs, I was not overweight to begin with, I was out of shape and unhealthy. To me, being raw and taking care of my body is about feeling good while Im alive. Its about truly being ALIVE.

Hi everybody,
My name is Ori, I'm a 22 year old student from Edmonton, Canada. I've discovered raw food about a year ago but have been on and off for a very long time. In this challenge I intend to strenghthen my "raw habbits" and stay 100% raw all the time. I'm starting off with a 21 days juice fast and hopefully this would give me a good start. Good luck to everybody!
hey there,
violet here. i too, love food. eating, cooking, non-cooking, looking at, discussing it, etc. i've been a vegetarian [off and on vegan] for 24 years, and have recently decided that eating raw works best for me. this winter, having some creepy health issues come to a head has given me that push in the direction of raw foods/living. i am less depressed, anxious and lethargic when i eat raw for consecutive days. i clean my messes up in a more timely manner, and i "let stuff roll" more smoothly. buuut, the cooked tastiness/memories slip in- demanding to be appeased, and have pulled the rug out from under me quite a few times. i figure that if bunny did 100 raw days successfully, without a web forum like this, i can try it with one. what a fantastic gift she's shared with us all!
some stuff not related necessarily to food about me:
i live for art. creating art, teaching art, viewing art, dreaming about art.
i also dig on my cats- two sexy ladies, they are... ladies of luxury.
i live in CT, a block from shore, which is mega-filthy and cannot be swam in without worrying.
needless to say, i enjoy long walks on the beach.
and bubble baths- with or without bubbles.
HI everyone ....Started raw Jan of 08....I'm b/w 75 to 85% raw and I am so grateful for this site......thanks ladies....can't wait for Aug 1 to get here!
Hello to all,
Im more on here to see raw fooders than anything...
so exciting:
Im an old pro but I have weakenesses:
coffee being that:-(
I love the way the raw diet makes you aware and spiritual without trying-
The raw diet is EASY for me because I love being in harmony with nature, and raw is just simply the only way when you feel that need for harmony on its purest truest level:karma.
I have a very natural ability to make a raw gourmet dish from anything... I never thought It was unique until I started hanging out with other raw fooders via Meetups, internet, blogs.... I have been very much a "solitary" raw fooder all my adult life... Nobody that is close to me is even vegetarian for the most part... I only know a few people in real life that are apart of a local meetup.com event for not even a year yet. I live in a rural location and that is Running Springs in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California: One of a few "islands" in the madness that is "SO CAL"-
I pretty easily fit into the whole Earth Crunchy hippy category, but I have a dark rebellious renegade side as well that doesnt see the world through rose tinted new age glasses..
thats me on the right-
and my partner to the left
Hi everyone !
I am a recovering junk food addict. I have been off and on raw for a year or so.
I have lost 50 lbs. total and recently gained 20 back on SAD (standard american diet).
So nice to see so many supportive and non-judgemental individuals with the same goal. Health :)
(Originally from Seattle) I am now currently on the road in a motorhome (for my husbands work) with the three loves of my life. My two daughters and a husband, they will all be doing the challenge with me.
We lived in 5 states last year and L.A. and San Francisco this year. It has been a little challenging to stay on raw while moving and we have had our ups and down, but we always manage to come back to raw. :)
One goal of mine is to overcome my emotional eating. I have been reading alot on the subject and I will be working on developing coping tools while I eat the best food on earth during this challenge.
I have met some very inspiring and sweet as can be people on here. Hope to meet more. :)
Hello! I'm Nikki from Seattle, WA. I'm currently a registered nurse but was a baker & cook for about 10 years before going back to school and changing professions. I started experimenting with raw foods out of curiosity..... including the health benefits and the excitement of working with new ingredients and food preparation methods.
I've followed Bunny Berry's blog and couldn't wait to jump on board when she announced this new challenge. My goal is to feel good and have more energy, as well as shed the 30 lbs I gained in nursing school. Yay! Thanks Bunny!
Hi!
I'm Amanda, currently out in New Mexico. I'm a homeschooling mother of two with rabid love for books, food, arts and crafts. I found out about raw food round about my 30th birthday, while I was looking for something to ease headaches and to get rid of lethargy, and maybe ease a few of those signs of aging. I've been trying to stick to it since. My problem is, that I start to feel so good, I forget how I got there and do something to botch it. Leaving me feeling horrible for the next week, swearing to stick to raw food. I'm hoping, with a little help, the lesson will stick this time!
Hi! Angelina here....been raw on and off for the past 3 1/2 years! facing a few health challenges and hoping raw will finally kick my health back into gear! Can't wait for the 100 day challenge!!!
