100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Are you a blocker? You may be a blocker and not even realize it. I know that you KNOW some blockers.
Until we open our minds and stop blocking and making it so hard on ourselves to succeed in every part of our lives, then we're going to tend to see life as a constant struggle.

It's not my job. It's not my mess. It's not my problem.

Free your mind, jedi. The rest will follow.

And because I know I just put an earworm in your ear...

well I know I used to be a blocker before committing again to high raw, lately I have been more optimistic! But I might be a blocker with trying to get back to my work out routine. wow, I never though of it as being a blocker... thank you Bunny, I think your vlog put things in a different perspective. I guess I should stop being a blocker with everything I do...

Hell No.....If a person puts the mind to something it will work......But if a person has negative crap there whole life and gets by without drugs and trys their best to get by well I myself am in good shape then~don't drink nor take drugs~.Kinda goes back to last weeks stuff. But I crawled out of that hole......Now on my way what I want.Turns out I'm helpful, friendly, and loving and positive in the places that are important.Sorry for your issues right now.Where are you moving?Just downsizing RU?
As for this economy I think we all have downsized.I cut my cell phone(UG),have lowered cable bill and now working on lowering house stuff too......Thank god I have always been a thrify gal in alot of ways....Oh grew up with less money then the average joe too .Its time to see if we can downsize those charge cards though! Not many cards thank goodness~I have a voice that asks alot for what I want.

Oh Bunny you are just too funny girl!! "Help a brother out!"

I definitely think I become a blocker when I'm having a bad day or am in a negative mood. I become less willing to help others and less willing to help myself.
Lately I've noticed that instead of being a blocker I am trying to find away around blocking. Instead of saying "oh the juicer makes such a mess I'll just drink some soda" I'll say "oh the juicer makes such a mess I'll just drink some water for now and then maybe make a raw soup in the blender". Then when I'm feeling more optimistic about the juicer...maybe a day from now or a week from now...I'll make myself a juice.

I really don't like blockers at call centers. I've started getting in the habit of getting people's names and then asking to speak to a supervisor when the call is completed so I can leave positive or negative feedback about the interaction. Believe it or not supervisors really seem to appreciate it when you take the extra time to tell them who is being a blocker and who is going above and beyond to be helpful.

Blockers sound a little lazy!

At my coop they have been giving me the old veggies and fruit they have. At my coop which is good to know...you must say it is for your chickens. It is a health code thing. They dont care whom its for but due to regulations and such they can just give it to you without you saying that. No biggie. I dont have chickens and they know that but its kind of a silly game they have to play. Love to you all. I love you too Bunnie! I just made a YUMMY smoothie!

I definitely struggle with being a blocker. I'd say half the time I am and half the time I'm not.

Just today, I have been sitting her just begging the Universe/God/Whatever to SHOW me the way.. to show me how to get out of the hole I'm in.. I am letting go of it all.... I don't know what the lesson is yet.. I don't know what to do..

I'm sorry things are so financially difficult for your family right now.

It's funny, just 6 months ago, I couldn't imagine living without TV and a home internet connection...

Now, the ONLY "luxury" in my budget is 24.99 for netflix. I literally froze all winter and got my electric bill down to 25 bucks a month.. ... funny how things change so fast.

Bunny,

I'm going to answer your question with a bit of a slanted view of blocking. ;-)

I learned to be a blocker! I was giving, giving, giving and helping everyone *all* the time and never had time left over for myself. It was like there was a huge sign over my head: "This woman has no ability to block anything...so get and take all you can from her!"

Since then, I have learned to block those who are only taking, taking, taking without ever caring about me. Guess what happened? Now I have healthy relationships and I have learned boundaries of what is/isn't healthy in relationships. My time is freed up to help those who truly appreciate all that I do. On top of that, I have time to care for myself! :-)

So, yes...I'm a blocker, but only when it's necessary for my own health and happiness.

I love you, Bunny!

I've enjoyed reading how some people have found a positive side to blocking. I didn't think of it that way at first but it makes sense that sometimes you need to block if people are taking too much.

I was going to say I'm not a blocker, (halo above my head:-) but then Bunny mentioned her juicer...and I hate cleaning my juicer. Only used it once. Maybe I block *a little*. And I block my boyfriend when I'm tired and irritable. As soon as he opens his mouth sometimes I think, "He's going to ask me to do something time-consuming or out of my way, argh..." and I usually respond negatively. I need to stop doing this, taking out outside problems on him.

Bunny, I hope you can successfully downsize. I'm interested in knowing what people are doing to cut costs; it's something we all can do since it probably saves energy on top of cash.

Well, I'm a half-ass blocker these days. Definitely not a blocker at work. And I actually enjoy cleaning my juicer (I'm just so grateful that I was able to buy it). I still block emotional stuff, sometimes, but I'm getting better about it. And I try my hardest to block negativity, mostly because I'm tired of being bummed out by the bad energy.
