Raw Fu

100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Bunny Berry

Day 34- Survive with Bunny Berry- THE RADICAL WING OF RAWFU

Today we go where we've never gone before! Rebecca posts our first ever discussion about natural hygiene and 80-10-10 on VIDEO! I'm really excited about this new Sunday series. I think that the new 811 series is going to give us all better insight into why some people are so passionate about this unique discipline of raw food, and also help us to all to learn to communicate on a higher level with respect and the understanding that we are all ultimately on the same path for better health and a better planet by choosing a raw food lifestyle.

Thanks, RawFu for being such an open and honest group of amazing individuals. I totally agree with Rebecca's point of view that moderation is great for most people, but that a more radical approach is necessary for others. That's what makes a community great. Being able to be individuals, but also be part of a supportive community. Rock on, RawFu!

Peace Out,
Bunny

((((((Rebecca))))
Yes, I am an 80/10/10 raw foodist. I have been doing this for over a year and for me it really is the easier, softier way. I am 60 years young and everything in life is more vibrant now. :) (colors, smells, tastes, sounds......) Life is good. Can't wait to hear more about your journey. Take care and continue to be good to yourself. With love and peace, Judy

I like hearing about other ways of eating too as well as critques about our way of eating. Here is a good site that has lots of other views:

Personally since going raw--3 weeks I ahve noticed much less joint pain as well as no hunger pangs.

Allowed is a perfect word! We all should be more "allowing" of people, things, subjects, etc. Allowing is sooo much better than prohibiting.

As for "45 minutes north of San Antonio", would that be close to Austin? We are still in the talk/plan stages of a road trip and/or potential move from Florida to Austin TX... we feel it's in our future just not sure when/how, etc.

Love your video and I LOVE that your radical our angel!
:)
Peace and love to you,
sheila

Nice video, rebeccaj. I'm looking forward to the discussion, and seeing what's working for other raw-fuers. I've been a raw food swinger. I'll eat 80/10/10 for a while, then go back to some high fat desserts, then eat a moderate combination of high/low/no fat.... And after being all over the map with raw food styles, I can report that I feel my best when I keep it simple and focus on high water content fresh fruits, veggies, and greens. So I'm kind of slowly gravitating in that direction, having more and more simple food days as time goes by. It's an intense journey. No way in a million years would I have guessed a year ago that I would be living on mostly fruit and greens.

Excellent video.

I have read the 811 book by Dr. Graham. This is my second year to attempt my own garden as well.

I am learning a lot as I go,.....I know more now than before.

My problem is simply the transition which is where I am at now.

When I first got Dr. Grahams book (which I love) I attempted to go full force. After 46 years of NORMAL SAD diet my body got so sick (probably detox). I was off of work for 3 days.

I went back to normal eating and felt better at first but because I had done 801010 for that period time now body didn't know WHAT to think.

I finally deccided to transition slowly. I also am finding there is a part of me that fights the raw as my palate has eaten "regular" cooked meat based meals for soooooooooooooooooooo long.

This is a wierd but wonderful journey for me.

I am learning life is not about finding yourself it is about creating yourself.

THANK YOU for venturing into this info., 80/10/10. There is so much to learn about food, nutrition and health. I would LOVE to have this explained to me and why it works for you (and others too that may not be as "radical").

**Question about the video- Rebeca you listed a many things that you do not include in your diet, did you start out saying "Poop"? Funny, I know. I re-listened to it over and over and I swear you say Poop? Will you cover your list again in detail and why you have come to your conclusions of illumination. Thanks.

And PS- Did you ever start your texting group for "Man Down in the Field" operation? I love this idea!!!

I AM SOOO PSYCHED ABOUT THIS!

Rebecca, great video!

80/10/10 is simple. I live a simple life. I find that by doing this, I am able to capture and experience the beauty of everything around me without being distracted by too many details. Fruit is beautiful. Utterly beautiful.

There is something magical about holding one type of fruit in your hands and eating it. Holding each mango and feeling its energy before eating it is amazing to me. My body knows exactly how to digest a mango if that is all i am eating in a meal. It digests perfectly on its own. Because of this, I receive more energy since my body isn't using so much energy to digest a bunch of different foods! Mono-mealing is what my body likes best. Simplicity works for me. Not only in my diet, but in every aspect of my life.

Live a simple life. Eat more fruit!

When I first went raw, I just ate anything that was raw. This included lots of nuts. I felt GOOD, but I didn't get the "raw energy" that everyone talked about. I quickly learned of david wolfe. I obviously got into cacao and the idea of superfoods. I ordered cacao and began using it daily. It made me high. It felt like a drug high. I liked it at the time. But then I quit using it for a while and came back to it --- it gave me really bad headaches. I realized it was not optimal for me. I also got slightly into the gourmet movement. I made quite a few raw pies and desserts. They were delicious, but really hard to digest. I still wasn't feeling the raw energy.

Someone on a forum asked me if I bought "80/10/10." I had no idea what that was. I was still a newbie so I was really interested in buying raw reading material. I ordered it along with some Cousens books (funny that i ordered those books together, right? haha!) I started reading 811 as soon as i got it.

The information was addicting.

No book has ever resonated with me as much as 80/10/10!!! It made PERFECT sense. It was eating like we would in nature. It is simple and easy.

After just 3 days of 80/10/10, i could feel a difference. After a couple weeks, the insane energy hit me. I'M ALIVE!!! I'M ALIVE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL WORLD!!!

Fruit is so attractive.
Fruit is so easy to digest!
Fruit is full of energy!!!

I truly believe that fruit is the most optimal food for.... dun dun dun.... EVERYONE. HUMANS IN GENERAL. Check it out:

-we are one of the only species to see in color. FRUIT ANYONE!?

-we have the perfect hands to pick fruit from trees, just as tigers have claws to attack their prey. (WE HAVE OPPOSING THUMBS TO GRAB THE FRUIT!!!)

-When we are older, the last taste that we have is the ability to taste sweet foods..... uh, this is just obvious!!! fruit!!!

-fruit is the easiest food to digest (especially when not eating fatty foods like nuts) Since our bodies don't have to spend so much energy digesting complicated combinations of foods, it gives us more energy to do what we wanna do!!!

-nuts are only FRESHLY available in nature for a short amount of time (2 months or so). Is nature trying to tell us something??? They are also difficult to crack with your bare hands (nutcrackers don't exist in nature). Sooooo although a few nuts are delicious here and there, is it optimal to eat them all year round????? Mixed with fruit???? (mixing fat with fruit will slow down digestion significantly and can cause many problems!)

-FRUIT IS SEXY!!!!!! and you know it.

thats all i have to say for now. =)

I think she said "no-poo" which stands for no shampoo. :) Hope that helps!
