Another Friday with Rawdawg Rory Rocking the Fu! Today Rory has created a delicious, visually appealing and easy recipe that would be perfect for impressing friends and family over this Memorial Day holiday weekend!
Today I've been enjoying putting a few last magic touches on the June issue of RawFu magazine before it goes to the printer. I've also had fun making of couple of videos answering your questions from yesterday's thread. You all have such creative and inquisitive minds! It must be all that living food you've been eating. I'll be answering everyone's questions over the upcoming days, so just go here for the video updates.
So it's DAY 39 and this is the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. I'd enjoy hearing what you have planned for your holiday weekend and how & what are you're preparing to stay raw over the next few days?
Yum! And just today I was wishing I had more recipes using sunflower seeds (cheap) and wishing I had GOOD recipes using honey (also cheap). Woohoo! You are my hero. :)
How much vanilla extract would that be? I don't have a clue about the conversion because I've never used the beans.
I was looking forward to seeing you today! I will definitely try this, maybe for my Mother's Day redo. How can I get the ranch dressing recipe? My daughter adores ranch dressing but has had to give up dairy.
Thanks!!
Day 39 and Memorial Day weekend AND my birthday weekend! Whoo hoo! I'm spending the weekend introducing my family to new raw recipes and I'm going to make a watermelon "cake" with my kids tomorrow for my birthday. Fun stuff!
I made popsicles from apple/carrot/strawberry juice and strawberry pie for the family yesterday. My 22 year-old daughter sat down and started glancing through my new Rawvolution cookbook my hubby bought me for my birthday. Wow!
ok - that's it, I will forever cut my dates in half! I have goosebumps just thinking about 'frass'... blech! Lovely recipe though and thanks for that great tip!!! ;o)
Hello all my Raw-Fu friends!! :0D
Thanks so much everyone for all the wonderful comments and the props on my seed creme recipe!!
Angie. I'd probly go with about a 1/4 to 1/2 tsp vanilla for this recipe, a lil' extra vanilla'yness certain;y would'nt hurt this dish so you could even experiment with more...I'm gonna have to try using more as well...a hardcore vanilla creme! .*MMmmmmMMMm*
Hey Amysue! You could shoot me a message on my raw-fu profile and I'll give ya the recipe for my ranch dressing and since ranch dressing rocks so much I think that may be my next video! Thanks for the inspiration! :0D
Haha Melanie! Sorry to freak you out about the dates but, I have had the mispleasure of chewing on a very funky date and spat it out only to find it was full of frass! *Blech blech double blech!* So I like to alert people of this bug poopy threat! :0)
Thank you so much OceanGoddess for your kind words about what I'm all about! :0D My wifey has'nt made her camera apearance yet but, maybe I can get her in a video one of these days but, I make no promises as she's a lil' camera shy.*lol*
Thanks again everyone! I hope everyone enjoys it and experiments with the recipe! Have a wonderful, fun and rawseome holiday weekend! ~ Rory :0D
Hiya Rory
This week Andrew got to your video before me and couldn't stop talking/ Raving about Sunflower Seed Parfait, He followed me round the house with the computer...watch it...lets make it...watch its so good!! Very funny!! Love ya videos and your tips infact I always check my dates, thank god and the night before I opened one and it had all this soot like black stuff in the center where the seed was, like it stained my fingers ? Not sure what is was but I binned it never the less ! ;o) So looking in every date is a must for me now, especially after last night.
