If you think you just get up every morning and walk around with no purpose or reason d'etre, please try to see the impact you can have on people's lives. Even a fender bender could save a marriage.
Live your life with purpose. Be present in every moment. You never know what you're there for. Isn't that BEAUTIFUL?
And yes, I'm okay. I'm sore. I'm sure I'm going to be REALLY sore tomorrow. But no apparent brain damage. I mean, besides the NORMAL apparent brain damage.
Bunny, you are absolutely glowing from that encounter. I am sure that you made more of a difference than you will probably ever know. May we all be just as present as you were in that moment. I hope you are not too sore, and you heal quickly from whatever residual pain you may have. MUAH...... Sending you healing energy. Love, Colleen
Luckily, I'm not sore at all today. I feel as fit as a fiddle. But I have gained a few pounds over the last week from careless eating. A bite of this, a smidge of that. It ADDS UP! Getting geared up to do Penni's detox experiment.
Thanks for sharing that story, Bunny! My mom tells me all the time "everything happens for a reason". I think this is so important to remember, even when the bad happens.
Your message about guardian angels hits home with me because I'm a teacher. I teach adults who are coming back to school after a long absence and have a lot of doubts and responsibilities. Sometimes I feel as if I'm their guardian angel, since education is so much more than just getting grades, but a good foundation for life (in my eyes - I'm a little prejudice because I love teaching). But sometimes they are mine. I might be feeling like my self-confidence took a flying leap and a student will email me how much they appreciate what I do for them and how much they've learned and it will remind me that I came into this job for a reason and that I have a purpose as a teacher.
