Raw Fu

100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Today there are TWO videos for you to enjoy. The first is about our topic of the week, The Eyes, and the second is about Community Health. One of our members needs our community support. It takes a village, you know.

THE EYES:
It's amazing how so many systems of our bodies want and need the same vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that are readily available in a raw food diet! Think yellow, orange, and GREEN!

THE COMMUNITY: There is someone in our community that needs our support. Gypsy Mama is facing and life and death scenario, and has made a medical decision that I fully support and stand behind. Hear her story here.

Bunny you are absolutely right. The most important thing is that we support and love each other. I just joined Raw Fu a few days ago, I'm so grateful and honored to join such caring people.

My mom had cancer 4 years ago it went into remission 2 years ago. But we found out yesterday that it MIGHT be back, she has to go for more testing. I'm stay strong for her but privately I'm totally falling apart. It's scary when you don't know what's coming and it's terrifying to know what’s coming and think you may have to face it all over again. I keep telling myself deep breath...it's just preliminary results it could be nothing...stay positive, stay positive.

So I know from this previous medical crisis that you need doctors, you need modern medicine, you need natural medicine, your need prayers, you need a positive attitude and like you said Bunny, you need community love and support. There are defiantly bridges. It's not black and white. It's different for everybody but what remains the same is the loving support of your friends.

Gypsy Mama, I know you don’t know me but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Health and wellness from my heart to yours. I stand with you, stay strong, you are loved. Hugs, Jenny

Bunny & Penni, You both have spoken graciously. I couldn't have spoken or written my thoughts for Gypsy Mama any better. Love you all. This includes GM.

GM....I hope you feel the love radiating in your honor this evening. I support your decision and fully understand why it's the best option for you. Praise God that you're able to have the surgery done this quickly. I'm proud of everything that you have been doing to fight for your health and I look at this as another piece coming together to move you in the direction of the best life possible for you and your family. You are in San Jose for more than one reason and my husband and I will be praying for everything to be just as it should.....a text book perfect surgery and recovery.

You are loved.

I think Gypsy will have such an advantage over the typical bypass patient because eventually she will be able to make her own super raw protein smoothies and bars, and stay off of the processed stuff that comes out of a can.

I think there is a lot to learn and a lot to teach from experiences like this. We have to open our eyes to all possibilities.

Bunny, you are an amazing person, and have drawn amazing people to be a part of this community. I continue to be so honored to be a part of such a loving community. Gypsy, HOW could it even enter your mind that you would have to leave us??!! We simply wouldn't have it, as Bunny and others here have so eloquently stated!!!

We are with you every step of the way. Just imagine how many prayers, how much good energy and good thoughts and good vibes are coming your way. We are a mighty team! A mighty family! And we love you!

LOVE and HUGS!

GM I wish you all the best and as everyone as said you can't leave the Fu! We are hear to support you and be with you on your journey for good health no matter what. And for any other of our members that are having challenges and need support. That is the greatest gift Bunny has given us all, this community where we can share, support, and educate each other on the journey to health regardless of whether you are all Raw or not. It's not always about the food but about what is happening within the group. Remember we are all individuals and what works for someone's body may not necessarily work for another person. Also what works for our body for a period of time may not work at a future date for whatever reason. In this community everyone is welcome regardless and that is what makes it so special. We will all be sending good healing energy and prayers your way.

Wow, I'm astonished at the support that is being passed to Gypsy Mama, and what a wonderful converging experience this will be for her when it is all over! She will have a stronger character (if that is possible!), and be a stronger person having gone through something as severe as this. We all should be appeased that she IS following a vegan and raw lifestyle, which will surely help her with her healing process, much more so than anyone else undergoing this surgery while trying to recover with a SAD diet. I am so happy that she is here, knowing that she has a community standing behind her. You know what they say, moderation in moderation...and in situations like this it is wise not to view it in a raw extremist fashion...more so as a way to kick things back in gear so you can jump on the wagon once again. We do what we can in this life, and give thanks for every step along the way.

Gypsy Mama, you are a strong warrior! We are all here supporting you! Thank you Bunny for the video!

Bunny...so wise and compassionate of you to show us all the way to walk the walk, not just talk about our own perspectives and then talk, talk, talk.... Gypsy Mama, you will be in my prayers and I will hold you in my thoughts each day. THIS is why Raw Fu, Crazy Sexy Cancer, and Penni S. (and so many others, through their blogs) have touched my heart and soul.
May we all be blessings to each other - daily
Gentle healing (((HUGS))) to GM
XOXOXO
Becky

Bunny, you rawk for bringing this to our attention. Everyone here, including Gypsy Mama is so lucky to have you as our fierce leader, girlfriend.

Gypsy Mama, my thoughts, prayers and hopes and wishes are with you as you face this and deal with it. I'm sure if I were in your position, I would be doing the same thing. So you do WHATEVER it is you need to do to come out on the other side of this.

Take care.

The video about ocular health was really interesting...haha I have to say, I def thought 'carrots!' when you (Bunny) mentioned what we eat for taking care of the eye. Haha, I really don't like carrots to be honest, but it's good to know that oranges, lemons, and other yellow and orange fruit and veggies can help support the eyes.

For Gypsy Mama, I wish you all the best in your procedure and totally support your choices. We do want you here for a long, long time and we're here to support you. You'll be in my thoughts on the 22nd.
