I guess my main question is, do nut or seed milks cause a slowing of the cleansing process if not combined with fruits or vegetables? Would they be categorized as a no-no for a juice fast
Thanks Bitt, Just trying to give my body a break so I can keep on the raw food wagon more easily. Ever since the holidays, I have been sliding a bit on what I eat, and gained a few pounds from it. I am having fresh vegetable with greens and fresh fruit with greens juices throughout the rest of the day, so I guess the chai drink would be sort of a fill-in instead of water or an herbal tea (although it is made with mostly water and a tiny bit of mint, nuts and spices). I guess my main question is, do nut or seed milks cause a slowing of the cleansing process if not combined with fruits or vegetables? Would they be categorized as a no-no for a juice fast...
Kidkaras, the drink was from goneraw.com.I didn't know if I was aloud to post recipes from other sites or not without permission, but here's the link so you can go there and grab yourself a great little recipe :) Taste it and alter it, I always add more spices...and I also pour it thru a nut-milk bag to get rid of ALL spice and nuts that have not been pulverized by the vitamix, or you might end up with a mouth of spice which was not a fun thing first time around ;)

I think that sounds great! Some people believe that having no fats is an important part of a juice fast, but I think it's just making nutrients more available. When I juice fasted, I had raw cacao nut milks with agave every morning!
