Today RawDawg Rory is back: www.rawdawgrory.com, and he's giving us some tips on how to keep it warm as the seasons turn colder. Rory and his family know a thing or two about cold climates. They live in the chilly New England state of Connecticut.
So, don't worry. Don't think you can't survive on a raw food lifestyle during the winter months. In fact, we are going to do an entire Holiday Mini Challenge to help you make it through those chilly holidays and all of the FOOD that goes along with it. The new vlog posse will be in full force, and we'll be talking about everything from holiday pounds to reducing, reusing, and recycling! Peas on Earth Holiday Challenge #2 coming up. Starting on Friday, November 20th, so you'll have plenty of time to shop and get your raw holiday goodies prepared!
Also, do you live in Northern California? Check out the Events Section. I will be making a special guest appearance at Cafe Gratitude for one of Shea Lynn Baird's amazing Monday Night Live series on November 16th. Details here: http://raw100.ning.com/events/monday-night-live-with-bunny I would LOVE to see you, and give you all a big RawFu Hug. So, please mark the date, and plan to come to Cafe Gratitude.
Tomorrow I am heading to Asheville to see Matt and Angela Stokes-Monarch ( www.therawfoodworld.com ) , and to get an exclusive RawFu interview with them for some of our new members, and for some of our veteran members who may need a good kick in the pants. These two are LIVING the lifestyle, and have so much to teach us. I'm thrilled to be able to see them, and share their interview with you on Thursday.
Much Love, and Thanks for All of the Healing Vibes. Feeling MUCH Better Today, but still taking it easy. Get plenty of rest, drink your fluids, and EAT YOUR VEGGIES!

=^..^= always love Rory's ideas and recipes.
I've been making ginger teas (steeping crushed ginger in hot water) since last winter.
Thought I was cheating on the raw side of things, but "so what" it worked.
(I didn't know about the 150º temperature thing, Rory. Good to know!)
This blended version looks SO much better! I like a strong ginger tea & this should be amazing.
.: =Ginger Shots= :.
Yep. I am going to ask a friend if I can use their blender and make up a batch!
Hey Miss Bunny! Did they decide whether or not to do a potluck the weekend before your talk at Cafe Gratitude? Would love to come say hi, but it's way too far for hubby to drive on a work night.
mmm that sounds so good on a cold day, it get's pretty cold here so I'm going to be drinking this! Thank You Rawdawg Rory!also Bunny I wish I lived near enough to attend, I'll be there in spirit though! Have fun!

I wanted to add that for those folks who may be in the Virginia, West Virginia, DC, Maryland, Delaware area or further if you want. That Matt and Angela will be in Richmond Virginia with the Richmond Rawfood Meetup Group on Tuesday November 10th. For details you can go to http://rawfood.meetup.com/231/calendar/11746675 for details.
Thanks Rory!! I appreciate the ginger juice demo since I've never tried making it, and now I get it! Great tips I can pass along to everyone who says they could never be raw in the winter.
