I saw this on youtube before you posted it here, so I answered on your page. But here is a re-posting:

Hi Bunny, When we were in training to become foster parents we were told that the day a child is placed in your home you might as well call the doctor and make an appointment for 10 days later. They said the emotional trauma a child goes through when being taken into state care is enough to weaken their immune system. And almost without fail every child will become sick within 10 days. So to answer your question, Yes. Be it emotional or physical, trauma can make you sick.

I posted on Youtube but I will say it again..I ahd this horrible affliction for 2 weeks, and its was HORIBLE, came to the conclusion with the Dr that is a viral infection...lots of white gunk and sore eyes..really nasty. Salt water was the best thing that helped, and a zinc supplement...oh a few good curries seemed to help too !

I am using a tea tree and zinc underarm deodorant and it seems to be keeping me bug free at the moment...just an idea its from the Tea tree Thursday farm from Oz..you can get them in health food shops.

Sorry you're goopy this week! :( Hope your eyes clear up soon... i like to use an eye wash cup & do either warm salt water, wheatgrass juice or weak eyebright tea 'eye baths'.
Glad you can still be hilarious in your misery... feel fabulous soon!!

Bunny! The same week you got in your accident both my mom AND my sister got in small fender benders (I was beginning to get nervous driving thinking it was "wreck your car week"). It triggered weird things in both of them. My sister broke out in hives and welts for the week following, and my mom got a serious kidney infection. They are both fairly healthy and are both convinced the wreck caused subtle things to come to the surface, whereas otherwise their immune system could have handled it. There has to be some connection...I'm sure. Get well soon! :(

Hi Bunny, The trauma sickness thing is happens to me all the time! When the stress hits and my body can't take it, I lose my voice. Nearly every Christmas Eve, I get laryngitis for a week.

For the last 6 months I have been going through an extremely traumatic layoff process at work. Well, about a month ago my body just couldn't take it any longer. I ended up getting laryngitis (and other various symptoms) for the the last 3 weeks and counting. My voice is still out. I sound like Barry White's little sister! Not a great way to look for jobs...

Sorry, but I am guessing pink eye. Get thee to a physician. Use warm compresses on your eyes. Keep your hands away from your eyes. Wash your hands. Use paper towels. Good Luck

You're already getting lots of great advice. I'll add to that. If you can get to an Indian grocery store, buy some rose water. Put that into your eyes, and wash them a few times a day with it. Within 2-3 days it will be all clear and your eyes will be sparkly and even more beautiful. :-)

The darn site isn't loading the video, so I'm headed over to YouTube to see it.

I'm sending lots of love to you!

Bunny Bunny Bunny....I am so sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I don't have any great advice as to how to treat your eye...but are you resting? Your body is under attack and working hard on the inside. Are you taking time out to just really really relax? It might help so your body can use the extra energy to heal what ever is taking place in your body.

hugs!

When I was a kid, I woke up every morning with my eyes glued shut. And as I got older, I would always have so much eye gunk, that now I am still super self conscious about eye buggers. It comes back during certain times of the year. If I wear any makeup it seems to get worse.
Right now I have another UTI. :( Even a tiny bit of sex gives me problems.
I suspect you are on the right track about candida acting up after a trauma. Even something as simple as a cooked meal can cause all kinds of crazy immune response stuff.
I am permanently on disability because of the childhood abuse I suffered, which caused me to have PTS and all kinds of horrible physical symptoms which I struggle with even now.
Also my sisters and I were all molested for 18 years and all of us have all kinds of physical issues with our lady parts.
I hope you feel well soon. I used to use hot wash cloths to open my eyes when I was a little kid. My mom would get the cloth really hot, then lay it over my eyes for a long time until the glue loosened up enough to pry apart. ((big hugs))
Warmly,
Alexis
