100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Anastazia

Please tell me there's a RAW EGGNOG recipe made without eggs & dairy...? (& other holiday treats!)

Been looking everywhere online, they all call their recipes raw cuz they use raw milk, raw cream, raw eggs...*sigh*....I can't seem to find one that's raw vegan....I know there's one someone on the world wide web, cuz I had one last year....but alas, can't find it...

Help...anyone?

Also, what's your all-time favorite raw holiday recipe? Please share! We're doing an American Thanksgiving raw dinner for my sis, her hubby & her kids on the 26th (yes, we're in Canada, but it's to honor Hannah's American daddy) & we're kinda at a loss so far...they're kinda picky, so we want it to be outstanding!

& what can do I do fancy with mandarin oranges besides a fruit salad?

Hoe hoe hoe....in the garden...

Thanks, that's wonderful! Can you believe I've been at this over 2 years & STILL haven't made my own almond milk! (or ANY milk!) In fact, I confess I still buy Hannah rice milk & almond milk in a box...but I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna take the plunge & make some, first for eggnog, then for everyday use! (As much as I can afford the nuts, anyways! I hear cashew milk's delish, too!)

I really appreciate you sharing these links....anyone else got any holiday recipes to share?

Instant Egg Nog
Serves 2-4
Equipment:
High Speed Blender
Knife
Glassware to serve
Ingredients:
5 med bananas sliced
1 Tablespoon agave nectar
1 Tablespoon coconut oil, warmed to liquid consistency
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
3 cloves
2 pinches of cinnamon
2 pinches of nutmeg
one pinch of maca
one pinch of sea salt (optional)
1 cup of ice cubes (optional)
water; to blend
Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Cloves for garnish
Directions:
Place all ingredients except coconut oil and ice cubes into the blender, adding 1/4 to 1/2 cup water to blend. Blend at high speed for 30 seconds, then while it is still blending, pour the tablespoon of coconut oil into the blender. Blend for 20 more seconds. If desired, add more water, and/or the ice cubes and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, and sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg and a clove for garnish.
Optional: For warm Egg Nog, continue to blend the Egg Nog in the blender after you add the coconut oil until the Egg Nog is warm. Pour into glasses, garnish and serve immediately.
Good luck. Also have cookie, cheese ball, rice pudding, sugar cookies etc recipes all raw. Let me know your email and I will attach recipes.
Love Ann

I might change it a little by adding more young coconut meat to soften the strong flavor, but see what you think.

Wow, you guys are awesome! Thanks so much for the different kinds, so I can try things based on what ingredients I have... I totally forgot to search RFT, haven't been there (or online) much...
I have a BUNCH of coconuts in the fridge, so I think I'mm be trying yours first, Angie....Yum! Been craving the stuff, & do NOT want to give in to the store-bought stuff!

Ooh, good! Let me know what you think - it's been quite a while since I made it, but it was YUM! Definitely gives the cravings a run for their money. :)

I made this one and it was really good! A bit too sweet for me, I think next time I'll do less agave. But it was definitely decadent and tasty. I liked that the ingredients were simple, too. :]
