Raw Fu

100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Today I remember that it's time to bust out the Pumpkin Pie Spices! In honor of the kickoff of Matthew Kenney's new project at www.105degrees.com, let's make Bunny Spice Smoothies together on Saturday, and pretend we're hobnobbing with the raw food celebrities that will be at the official opening Gala!

Fall is here. What is your favorite fall food or recipe, and what spices, smells, or feelings get you ready for the most wonderful season of all?

Raw Food Real World recipe book. A MUST HAVE.

Bunny says: “This smoothie has been my obsession ever since the first leaf fell off of the trees this fall. It has gotten me through many times when I wanted to resort to hot cooked comfort food. It tastes like the holidays, especially if you throw in a little Allspice or Pumpkin Pie spice. Thank you so much to RawFu Member, Matthew Kenney, for sharing this fabulous recipe with us!”

1 cup carrot‐ginger juice (run carrots through the juicer with a thumb‐size knob of fresh gingerroot)
1 cup almond milk or Brazil nut milk
2 cups frozen diced banana
Pinch of ground cinnamon
In a blender, puree all ingredients until smooth.

HOW IS YOUR DAY GOING?

Okay, it's only September, but you've got me thinking about holiday time, and "Coconog" is YUM! It's better with less cashews & may not need to be so sweet, but here's my original recipe:

I also love Shannonmarie's cinnamon rolls:

Good video Bunny! We went to Paris this past weekend which was really wonderful (but not so raw).
Time to break out the blender and get to making some delicious green smoothies - thanks for the recipe :-)

Can you make raw caramel? My favorite this time of the year food is caramel apples with nuts. I just love, love, love them. It's like biting into heaven. Fall is my season anyway it just makes me feel all good inside. My favorite seasons are fall as I stated and winter. but if you have a good raw caramel apple recipe I'd like to try it because I've already have had two of the bad kind and I know that I will have another soon enough. They only come around once a year and I only buy them around this time. They are my treat.

That smoothie sounds delish! I'm going to have to pick up some pumpkin pie spice from the store this week. I too would love a RAWnog recipe - funny I was just thinking the other day how much I love eggnogg and was going to miss it and silknogg too.

We don't really get fall or winter [florida] but it was in the high 80's today. Sooo maybe by November we will get into the 60's for a few days. After living out in WA with my husband last year I'm thankful for FL weather. Being snowed in really put a damper on trying to be fit.

Kimberly, try barhi dates. Very caramel-ly! Take a bite of apple, take a bite of the date. Viola! Caramel apple!

Aww Bunny, this is just what I needed. It's pretty chilly here in Tokyo. I'll make this smoothie today!

Fall means red leaves, lotsa snuggling, cozy duvets, and crisp air.

Fave fall recipe: I think it would be Kirsten Suzanne's Harvest Soup, but I make it creamier with avocado instead of using flax or olive oil. It's tasty and hearty. And lotsa creamy smoothies like chocolate banana nut milk smoothies, or chai smoothies or nut milks.

On Kevin and AnnMarie Gianni's site, there is a recipe from last year this time for "Raw Snickers" and one of the components was caramel:

I might try that on some apples myself!

also dehydrated bananas(not banana chips in stores, I mean soft and chewy home dehydrated bananas ) with apples tastes like caramel apples. I dehydrate the bananas in long thin strips, lay a slice on a slice of apple and eat like that. yum, great texture and taste combination!
