Hmmm, there were probably around 100 classmates, and then their spouses. We had an event on Friday night, and a small gathering on Sunday, too, so I got to see almost everybody over the three days. It was more fun than I could have ever imagined! I'm usually a hermit, and steer away from these events, but I decided at the last minute to cancel everything and go, and I literally had more fun than I have in years. Everybody is so over all of that high school bullsh*t, and we were genuinely happy to see each other doing so well. It was a great experience.

Just discovered this combination for a green smoothie: 3 - 4 peaches (no pit, but leave on the skin), 3 - 4 handfuls of spinach, a squirt of agave and water. Super smoooooth and yummy!

So cool that you went to your reunion. I didn't go to mine and regretted it. Glad you had fun!

Well, yours is really good for reducing and alkalinizing.

I made this yummy rich one this a.m. and I have though, been taking off a few pounds.

8-10oz water
2 dates
1 banana
1T spirulina
1T e3Live
1T nutr yeast
1T mesquite pwder
1T hemp butter
1tsp chia (raw sprouted then ground)
pinch Himalayan sea salt

I called it Rawprincess Rockstar Smoothie this a.m.
I didn't have any but at least one stalk celery and a few romaine leaves would be great too.

spinach/nectarine/banana. I like the green color too, but I loves me some blueberries too!

Yup, green smoothies are the best. I never get sick of them. In fact, if I don't have one, I feel weird. I will try your recipe, Bunny! I'm going through Victoria Boutenko's Green For Life and I love her simple mango and parsley smoothie.

I had another yesterday (not from her book): blueberries, raspberries, banana, spinach. YUM. The blueberries make the raspberries less tart and just so berrylicious and smooth. Enjoy!

I really like sweet, tropical smoothies, since those fruits are cheap, delicious, and often local around here. Somedays I want to pay the $30 for a tiny box of raspberries from the States but I just can't do it, knowing I could by 20 giant mangoes for that price. The grass is always greener, eh?:-)

Mango-Luscious Green Smoothie

(from www.kombuchachic.com)

1 banana
6-8 figs (I used 5 small, dried figs that I'd soaked)
1 mango (I used a big yellow mango)
1 handful spinach (I used one bad of Chinese water spinach, otherwise the recipe is really sweet)
Juice of 1 orange
cold water
6-8 ice cubes

Blend fruit first, then add greens and liquids, then third blast add ice cubes.

Pineapple Icy Zing:

One large pineapple, chopped into small pieces then frozen
4 cups greens (I used yam leaves, water spinach, or 2 cups of bok choy)
One chunk of ginger (thumb-sized)
2 Tbs goji berries, soaked 10 minutes
Dash of cinnamon (optional)

Blend pineapple (add a little water to get it going, if need be) then add rest of ingredients and blend again.

This is my absolute favorite Green Smoothie that I drink everyday:

2 Large Handfuls of Organic Baby Spinach
8 Large Strawberries with tops left on (I figure I get in some more greens this way)
1 Banana
2 Cups of H20

I always blend the spinach and water first and then add the strawberries and banana. I love the taste.
A little bit sweet and a little bit tart!!! I've brought this to work several times and my coworkers always have a "dumb" comment to make such as "Is that Baby Poo?" or "Are you drinking Guacamole?". I've made it for a few of them before and after trying it, they have to admit it that it tastes much better than it looks. The berries make the smoothie a more brownish green so I guess that is the reason for the comments, lol. But, I take everything in stride. I love my green smoothies!!!

Hi Bunny,
I'm always trying/creating new smoothies. I try to buy different organic fruits and greens. Today I'm having a organic banana, grapefruit, organic spinach (1 large handful), raw organic ground hemp seeds, and water. I like! But my all time favorite is banana, strawberry, blueberry and water. Or mango & blueberry and water.

I'm balancing yeast issues right now, so my green smoothies are of the non sweet variety.
My favorite is:
1/2 pound spinach or romaine
juice of 1 lemon
2-3 celery stalks
1/2 cucumber
2 small carrots
young coconut meat
water
(if I'm really wanting sweet I add a couple drops of stevia)

It fills the vitamix pitcher so if I don't drink it all during the morning I save some for a late afternoon snack.
