100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Seeing as we're beginning this challenge on a Tuesday, & Biggest Loser is on a Tuesday, who's on board with that being our official weigh-in day?
(For those on speaking terms with the scale!)

There are times I don't weigh myself, & yes, the raw Lifestyle is all about health, not just what the scale's sayin', but for me, getting the numbers on the scale movin' down is crucial to my health's RAWstoration!!! & I'd love to share that weekly accountability, the ups & downs, the highs & lows, with whoever's here to shed their fatsuit, too! (whatever size it is!)

So.....here we go!!!

Thanks for suggesting this. I'm going to start the Tuesday weigh in.

Highest weight (ever): 212 pounds
April 14 (challenge start): 181.2
Current weight: 177.8
Goal Weight: 127-136

I've been stuck in the 170s forever. I'll go down a bit, but gain back to around 172-175. In the past seven
months, I got into the 180s (as high as 187).

The good news is that slow as I may be moving, I am going down. The frustration is that it is taking SOOOOO long.

I do understand that weight that is removed slowly is likely to remain removed, but I wish I could be one of those people who drop 10-15 lbs in a week. [Yes, I acknowledge that's unrealistic. I never claimed to be realistic;)]

Wow, you guys are here doin' it, & I keep forgetting to weigh in every day, too busy, I hit the floor runnin' (Well, ok, walking fast!) & by the time I remember, I've eaten, I'm dressed, & drank a bunch of water, so I just wait for the next day...

...but I have come down at least 4 or 5 pounds since the challenge started, I do know that, from my last weigh-in...
...& it should start speeding up here now...I'm re-committing to MUCH more exercise, despite my pain levels bein' thru the roof lately...I know the first few days'll be hard, then they'll start to lessen again...

I'm proud of all of you...progress is happening!!!
& sharing it, holding ourselves accountable like this is good...
...sorry I flaked out a little...
...I haven't even watched Biggest Loser yet, I have it on tape,
will WORK OUT when I watch it tomorrow!!!

This week: 175.8, lost 2 lbs.
Total for challenge: 5.4 lbs lost

I'd lost a bit before the challenge started (I was in the 184-187 range).
My goal for April is to lose 6 lbs and I'm so close.

Hi, everyone,good to see you all here, checking in, supporting each other...I'm sorry I've been MIA, just had soooo much goin' on lately, & my FM's been flaring up quite a bit (not enough sleep) so sitting in this chair to be online has been painful lately...but I am getting in a little more exercise, getting out & starting on the garden area a little, & even finally getting on the treadmill.....
...& I've even shed a few pounds...only a few, but it's a start, again...

Hi - this is my first post ever on RawFu! I'm new to eating raw - just started last Wednesday (yay, tomorrow is one week!) - but I've been vegan for 6 years now. I had serious times of junkatarianism, and some bingeing, which brought my weight up 30 lbs from where it was this time last year. So, my goal is to get back to where I was then. The weightloss battle isn't new to me - I was very overweight before I became vegan. It was during a lapse from veganism that I gained all this weight (along with a good deal of guilt because I became vegan for ethical reasons first). So, I'm back - my conscious and body are both feeling better. But I have other health issues that I think raw may help me with, so I'm taking the next step. Thanks for letting me make that leap into raw eating with you. :)

Weight last Tuesday: 172.5
Current weight: 168.5
Goal weight: 145

Lost 4 lbs, and am feeling very, very good. Thanks for the inspiration, everyone.
