100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Seeing as we're beginning this challenge on a Tuesday, & Biggest Loser is on a Tuesday, who's on board with that being our official weigh-in day?
(For those on speaking terms with the scale!)

There are times I don't weigh myself, & yes, the raw Lifestyle is all about health, not just what the scale's sayin', but for me, getting the numbers on the scale movin' down is crucial to my health's RAWstoration!!! & I'd love to share that weekly accountability, the ups & downs, the highs & lows, with whoever's here to shed their fatsuit, too! (whatever size it is!)

So.....here we go!!!

Are ya with me???

Hi Reetz, that sounds Grrrreat! I love the idea of doing a 30day mini challenge so we end the same time as everyone else! So, we will start Monday the 22nd? First weigh in Tuesday? I like it.

Hey Susan,
I'm new here too, a few weeks I've been on here I think, so we can start our own challenge together if you like, I'm also gutted I missed the 100day raw challenge. They have about 33 days to go, so we can do one month from Monday or whatever, then we'll finish around the same time as everyone else, then jump on into the next 100day raw challenge when this one ends... :)

I'm just under 76kgs (bout 170lbs? I think that is) and wanting to get down to...65/66 kgs (about 145lbs), so we can weigh in our heaviest, current and goal on tuesdays in here, and/or on each others page. Always good having an accountability buddy aye. :)

Hi everyone, I am new to this site and would love to join in on the fun! Last year I weighed 200 and went down to 170, now I'm backup to 180 and am trying to get down to 140. So, I have a long way ahead. I've been trying the raw lifestyle for a few months and was most successfull when I was 100% raw, so I'm going to do it for 100 days and see what happens. I didnt start the challenge when this one started, I started playing around with smoothies and raw food about 3 months ago and just decided 5 days ago to do my own challenge. I wish I would have started with everyone else :(

I guess I will just post my highest, current, and goal every Tuesday...is that right??
It sounds like everyone here is doing great...good work and keep going! Bunny is right when she says consistency is the key!

Hi Reetz, Holliday...lucky! I am going camping in the middle of July and am kind of nervous about staying raw. Usually camping means roasting hotdogs (which I'm not going to miss) and marshmallows which I always enjoyed making more than eating anyway. I think I'll just gets tons of seeds, like sunflower seeds still in the shell to munch on. I don't know if our campsite will have electricity, so a blender might be out of the question. I love my morning smoothies. :(

Today has been very successful but I probably could have been more organized. I just didn't get a chance to go shopping so my meals were kind of flimsy. I had a green smoothie for breakfast, a raw mega green bar, banana and apple for lunch, carrots with avo for snack (or tea as you call it, heehee) and another smoothie with some celery sticks with raw cashew butter for dinner...yummmy!
Tomorrow's weigh in won't be pretty for me either but Tuesday's will be exiting. When I told my roommate what I was doing, he decided he wanted to try it with me. Yayyy, that makes it soo much more exciting! I have my doubts whether he will stick with it though. Even just today he said this was maybe too hard for him...on the FIRST day! Oh well, he has good intentions, and maybe he's just not ready for the raw food movement just yet.
By the end of the thirty days I first off hope to be noticeably thinner, I also want to feel more connected with my body and with the food I choose to eat. I am so excited about only buying local organic products instead of putting my money into the mass production companies. I just graduated from University and I hope that after this thirty days my mind will be clear and I will have decided what to do with my life...in terms of job and location.

What is it that you want from these thirty days Reetz??

it's been sooooo nice to get back to (mostly) 100% raw the last day or 2, my body has sure been craving it! In the first six days here in our new home, at 60-80% raw, 9 pounds fled the scene, & I can't wait to get home & weigh in again, now that I'm doin' 100%!
Moving more, being on my feet more, & going swimming has contributed, too...it really does take awhile to make daily exercise a habit, when you're not used to it, & obese, but it sure does speed up the progress! it all goes together...(I'm working on getting on an early morning schedule, too!)

How are y'all doing with physical activity lately? Or are ya waiting for the new challenge?
I couldn't wait, it's time to challenge myself HARDER than ever before!

The scale can be my enemy at times, so I've agreed to only weigh every 2 weeks... but I can report what I find on Tuesdays.. lol. I have looked more than I usually do now that I know it's moving down.. lol... but I'm going to stop doing that before I see something I don't want to see.

Okay.. it's Tuesday. I peeked at the scale again... sorry can't stop.. lol. It tells me I'm 266. Now I'm motivated to see the 50's.

Great evening! I am 20 minutes away from it no longer being Tuesday so I'll make this quick:)
I am on day 34 of juice feasting of 100 days (being raw). I started at 174 and am at 154 as of today:) All my clothes fit SO MUCH better and I am able to chase my children around more (and keep up..for the most part..cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc). My friend who is juice feasting too is on day 31 and she has lost 21-22 lbs, but most importantly she is feeling like she is 25 again..not the 50 she'll be next month! Amazing. She used to have to sit on a hot pack every morning, had a hard time getting up of the mornings, would have a night cap just to get to sleep, and had symptoms that made people think she had fibro myalsia (I have no concept how to spell that..sorry)..also, she drank 2 cups of coffee Every Day and said her skin was painful to the touch.. She just ached nearly non stop. But if you could see her now! It's like the breath of life has been blown into her. Her husband thanked a mutual friend of ours that has helped encourage both of us down this journey, and told her..Thank you..it's like having back the wife I married! What a compliment.
I know this is the weigh in post..so sorry I got carried away. It's just such a wonderful experience. So all who are juicing. Keep it up!! It is well worth it!! Even if we don't have such body issues as my friend, just imagine all our organs and cells thanking us for taking the time to care and make good eating choices that help prolong our health.
