I'm not reading any Raw book at the moment. I just purchased Eating for Beauty and I Am Grateful Cookbook online the other day and should be receiving them soon. I am so excited!

I just finished The 80 10 10 Diet and it was the most life changing of all the raw books I've read, not to mention the best health book I've read going back to reading Fit for Life and Diet for a Small Planet in jr. high.

We also read The Wind in the Willows aloud for homeschooling! It's so beautifully written.

I'm finishing up Bleak House by Dickens.

Not reading any raw or health books at the moment....reading alot of Steve & Erin Pavlina's website postings (they each have their own...) very interesting reading on a wide variety of topics...but the main focus is conscious living....

OK! After hearing Ashley and AmySue I am going to have to get 80-10-10. I have a feeling that is the way I used to do when I was strictly raw in my first go around 13 years ago. Now I am curious. AmySue said: "it was the most life changing of all the raw books I've read, not to mention the best health book I've read going back to reading Fit for Life and Diet for a Small Planet in jr. high." Pretty Powerful recommendation! I loved Fit for Life! even though there are a lot of cooked recipes, my family grew up in the New Your Goodwhiches! Yummy!

As usual there is a big stack of books on my night stand, but what I am really reading are all of Michael Pollan's books. I am on the first one called Second Nature. Then its on to In Defense of Food and The Omnivore's Dilemna. Did you know that he is calling for the new President elect to not only hire a White House chef that prepares local, sustainable and organic produce but to take 5 acres of the 17 that comprise the WH grounds and hire an organic farmer to garden those 5 acres organically!?!?!?!? That is very cool.

I am heading to the bookstore today to pick up some new reads.
I think I want to pick up:
The China Study
The Raw Food Detox Diet (Read a little at the library...need to add it to my collection!)

I am also reading: Now, Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham & Donald O Clifton, Ph.D.

Keep it raw!

Oh, sorry, those weren't raw or health books. I own a bunch but don't refer back to any with exception of Natalia Rose. Of all the raw gurus out there, she is the one who does it for me (but for her WHACKY emphasis on cleansing). I'd say I'm a level 2 in her books, with some level 1 days, especially in summer, and some level 3 days, especially in winter.

I agree with you, Green for Life is a must for Raw Foodies. I will pick up Raw Success by Matt this week, I have been hearing great reviews about it!

The best raw books I have read are "green for life" by victoria boutenko and "raw success" by matt monarch. i was already hooked on green smoothies when i read the book but look at what kind of revolution she's started! and raw success has a really great description of how cleansing works in the body. it's a MUST READ for any long-term raw foodie.
