my favorite: rawfoodworld.com. This is Matt Monarch's site and has a bunch powders, seeds, snacks, nuts, cereals, and treats. He also sells books, appliances, and other health related items. If you type in RawSuccess as a promotion code you get an additional 5% off your order.
Not only is everything reasonably priced but Matt is the kind of person you want to give your money to!

My favorite is http://www.naturalzing.com They have a fabulous selection, and from what I've experienced, I get stuff faster from them than anywhere else. Their olives are to DIE for!

Hi All RAW FU members!

As one of the owners of www.NaturalZing.com and as a current participant in this challenge I would like to offer all RAW FU members the following special. Get a free bag of goji berries, 8oz with your order --- NO MINIMUM!!!! Yeah!!! In the comments type RAWFUGOJI8_nov1809. This offer ends when the challenge ends, so get your orders in now. If you call, just let them know about the offer and we'll include your goji berries with your order.

If you don't know how amazing goji berries are yet. Then you need to find out and this is a great way to start.

Much Love,
Helen

Just make sure to go slow and steady with your orders of this stuff, Amy. A friendly word of advice. I wasted money on things that were heavily advertised as fabulous and I thought were awful tasting. Lucuma, yakon and hempseed powder, just for example. Yuck. I love Nutiva's shelled hempseeds, though.

I have a new policy re all these things, I do NOT order unless I have tasted. It's too expensive otherwise and wasteful. You might ask for samples, it doesn't hurt.

And for what it is worth, I love Natural Zing and everything I have ordered there.

This is definitely good advice...not just with specialty powders either. How many recipes have I made that were awful and ended up not getting eaten and then I'm throwing money in the garbage?

WOW, thanks, Helen!

Believe me, you won't regret ordering from Natural Zing. Jeff and Helen are amazing. And they'll be at Raw Spirit East, so if you're going, make sure you stop by their booth!

I have had good experience with iHerb.com
I buy a few bags of "superfoods" a year, not a whole lot, just to have some on hand. I like maca, hemp seed, chia seed, and raw cacao. Most of these things are available in the bulk sections at 2 stores here in Ashland, or at the Herb Shop in Grants Pass, OR

QUESTION can anyone tell me where to get irish moss and organic lecithin? I'm starting to experiment with raw deserts...

Alex the Raw Guru (www.rawguru.com). He offers free shipping in the USA for orders of $100 or more. I also use Natural Zing and I-herb, depending on their shipping specials. I HATE to pay for shipping...Ü...!

I also have become allergic to shipping costs. I have stopped buying from online sites that charge exhorbitant amounts. If I can't find it elsewhere, I come up with a substitute or do without. It goes against the near food philosophy anyway, if you think about it. I do love certain goji berries, as I said, but even with those, I have been wondering how many superfoods I need from other countries flown-shipped from all the way around the world. Or am I just buying into excellent sales pitches? What happened to the philosophy that the best food for us, our bodies, is produced locally. Some gurus say our environment in the U.S. is so polluted we have to reach out thousands of miles to more pristine areas. But again, is that simply an excellent sales tactic? Can we count on places in China, for instance, being clean? Who can I really trust about that.

These are the things I am asking myself now before I open my wallet.

NaturalZing.com... I recently started a buying club co-op through them, and get good wholesale prices. I have to reign myself in when I order and not get too many yummy truffles or tasty treats, and stick to the staples I use regularly. :-)
