I have been extremely lucky, obviously...
Everyone comments on how happy, energetic and glow-y I am and want to know what I am doing. When I tell them what I am doing they tell me, "Wow! I want to do it too!"...until they realize how much work and commitment it is.
Maybe don't tell them that you are raw....how about just, "I eat lots of fresh food!"...Ü
Wow, Sheri, that's beautiful!!
I've lost over 100 pounds, so I know people are sometimes rude/jealous/judgmental, etc., but it does get a little "old" having to explain it over and over. I know what you mean about wanting to shout it out to the world about raw living (and sometimes I still do) but for the most part, I keep quiet too.
And congrats on your co-worker looking to you for health advice. You go, girl!!!
AND congratulations on the weight loss!! Yay!!! :-D

This is my first post. I have been raw raw for about 60 days now and when I first became raw I wanted to shout out to everyone around me about it and I sort of did.Nobody at work really said anything to me but I could tell they wanted to.I am a hairstylist and I was telling my clients and and after there first few responses I found myself defending my lifestyle more times than not.I decided to keep it to myself.I never talked about it at all. When someone sees my green smoothie and asks what it is I say just a smoothie.I have dropped 35 pounds so far and the other day a girl at work came up to me with a menu and asked me what she should get for lunch that was healthy! It made me feel so good. So now I know instead of words my health will say it all.

Amen, Sheri Luis! Know that people ARE watching what you're doing. Even if they turn up their noses, when they see your health improving they'll start asking questions.
I guess I don't get too much of this because I'm still overweight. I just say, "Oh, I'm trying to keep from falling over dead at 40", and everybody thinks it's a diet I'm on.
I guess I also live in an area of the country where eating this lifestyle is relatively unknown, so people are more intrigued than critical.
Some people think I'm crazy, but some admire it. I notice how they think it's a good thing, but they don't think that they can do it themselves. Many do encourage me to go forward with it though, particularly my dad; he's cheering me on. I guess I'm lucky.
