youtube Brian Clement on this subject. That diet was comprised over 50 years ago when fruit was not as genetically modified and hybridized as it is today. People have done a lot more research than Ann did back then. Our soils are depleted, our food supply is more corrupt than ever. please see: www.thefutureoffood.com Ann was a pioneer in the raw food movement and got immediate results on raw food as most people would today because anything raw is much better than what they were previously doing but over time it will wreck havoc in your body. My husband and I offer live blood analysis and we see so many raw foodist in poor health because of so much fruit. We know many raw foodist whose diet consist mostly of bananas and they are dying of cancers. I would read Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine and read the websites I mentioned.

Fruit the Hybrid Food

Many people ask me about fruit in the raw food diet and I get so many questions about FRUIT. Well, here is my response: The Hippocrates Institute, Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center, Creative Health Institute and Living Foods Institute are all live foods healing centers, which have healed people from major catastrophic diseases. These healing centers first recommendation is to get off all fruits and sugars.

Gabriel Cousens states in his book, Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine, "It is absolutely essential to eliminate these(fruit) from the diet in order to restore the biological terrain to normal and to decrease and eliminate the mycosis that most people have. Most people have fungus, candida or yeast in their body. Fruit, which is hybridized is not in it's natural state. The sugars in fruit are much higher than they were thousands of years ago and our bodies are not designed to deal with these man made sugars.

Dr. Jim Carey writes about the detriments of a high raw fruit diet in his blog: The Dirty Little Secret of the Raw Food Movement . Remember, seedless fruits like watermelon, grapes, bananas are fake foods that really feed fungus in the body as these are not natural foods, they are man made foods, as all natural fruits have seeds. So we recommend fruit in moderation. To get a more in depth view by Brian Clement on Scary Sweets.
And more info go to www.rawdoctors.com too. The 80/10/10 diet is really a bad diet and no other major raw food health institute supports this diet!!!

I've been living off bananas and mangoes for a couple of days now, with big green salads in the evening - and last night, around 8 pm, when I usually get cravings for food, I noticed that oddly enough, I didn't want to eat! I even went into the kitchen a few times out of habit (and I have a very small apartment) and JUST DIDN'T WANT FOOD. Hallelujah, high fruit is where its at:) Now, I just have to move to a warmer climate so I can justify eating tropical fruits all the time!

read the first 50 or so pages, it all makes sense to me. I'm getting psyched for it, would love to hear how it is working for other people. (thanks in advance!)

This thread has inspired me! I just ordered the P90X DVD set. I got it for $75 and free shipping....seems like it was a good deal compared to other pricing. I can't wait to sweat, grasp for air and waddle from soreness. lol

Hi All ~
My raw journey has been evolving. I naturally began eating fewer nuts and seeds than I had been in the beginning as my appetite adjusted to my body being nourished. I bought the 80/10/10 book many months ago and am finally reading it and, as I do with most things that resonate with me, I have jumped in feet first. I'm not even through the book yet! But I had already gravitated toward eating mainly fruit for the first half of the day so it is not feeling like a shocking change and it is certainly yummy and EASY! It is so much less work than what I was putting myself through with food prep when I first went raw last summer!

So I hope to learn from you all. Right now I just need to make sure that I get enough calories to maintain my body weight because I don't want to be any thinner than I am now and after a sedentary 6 weeks or so my body wants to get back to lots of activity. More bananas? : )

OOps! I just sent my question via messages to the group rather than as a new discussion thread. Sorry! So to ask it again, how do you go about getting at least one pound of greens per day?
