Raw Fu

100 Day Raw Food Challenge

We talked about talking about it a while ago, but we never actually talked about the book. Heehee! Has anyone read it yet?

I have been watching Dave the Raw Food Truck Driver on youtube, and he brought up that he uses this book & it has been instrumental in saving his life.

I am starting my own version of it this morning: low-glycemic like Phase 1.5, green vegetable juices as often as I can, but I'm not ruling out cashews & nutritional yeast just yet.

Hi, Angie! Dr. Cousens' book is wonderful! I use it in a "sane" combination with other successful diabetes reversal protocols. It's the foundation of the program I use in my practice for those with diabetes who are ready to go raw, and is also the protocol I'm using personally. I've been on Phase 1 with zero fruit, mushrooms, cashews, etc. for almost a year and have seen amazing healing. I highly recommend this program!

Those unfamiliar wth the book can read about it at: There is a Cure for Diabetes.

To work the program successfully, it is very helpful to also read Dr. Cousens' book: Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine. This book helps define what foods are used in each of the phases. The recipes can be a bit cumbersome, but the education material is priceless!

I look forward to hearing from others who are using this book. Have a blessed day!

Thanks for your response! I own & have read both books. I think he has some good ideas & information. Here is a question I have about his books/program: he says his program cures diabetes, but then he says that diabetics need to stay on Phase 1.5 forever in order to stay non-diabetic. He says diabetes is defined by having a blood sugar level over a certain number. It seems to me that if a person truly no longer has diabetes, that he/she would be able to eat sweet fruit without any negative blood sugar issues, and if that can't be done, the program really isn't curing; it's just controlling the diabetes by limiting sugars. What is your opinion? Also, I'd be interested to know what you mean by a "sane" combination with other protocols. I recently completed my training as a Holistic Health Coach, and using muscle-response testing to determine the body's priorities for healing, I know that not everyone needs the same treatments at the same time or in the same order, etc. even if the diagnoses &/or symptoms are the same. I wish you lived near me, so we could compare notes!
