Thanks for that informatin Rene. After I juice, I put it in a half gallon plastic container and drink the whole thing within a few hours.

I did a 47 day juice feast a couple years ago. I started the feast using a juicer and after about 4 days I read about using the vita-mix with a nut milk bag. I couldn't believe how much faster it was to do it this way. The only problem was that if we juice it ahead of time it looses the nutritional value and you can tell by the taste that this has happened. I found that if I stored the blended produce in mason jars and strained it through the nut milk bag just before drinking it retained it's nutritients (could tell by the taste) as well as if it had just been squeezed. I have a video demonstration of this on my site at http://reneoswald.com/videos.html (video # 31)

I have been using a nut milk bag to juice my greens ever since I saw the video Bunny did. Such a great idea!

No lie, it takes me less then 30 minutes to make a half gallon of green juice. My usual is 3 handful of greens, a banana, and apples (usually 7). I put it in the blender, then strain it with my nut milk bag and Voila!. I'm not juicing a gallon anymore, because I am doing a raw food challenge. Gotta love that green juice and my waist line.

I've become even more motivated since reading the comments here & some of the discussions, so I just re-budgeted to make a minimum of 2 cups of green juice per day for the next few weeks. Thanks everyone for the support & inspiration! This morning I added broccoli & cauliflower stems to my juice, and I got about 3 cups all together. I've got the green juice "zing" happenin' now. I'll go shopping later for more produce so I can do this every day - woohoo!

I don't know if I can afford a juice feast until I grow a lot of my own ingredients next summer, so I'm just adding in green juices where I can for now - I get in about 6 - 8 cups of really green juice per week. I sometimes want more than that, so I'm always looking for ways to make it happen. For now, I'm just grateful for what I have.

Thanks for the tip T L, I will deff try that,I felt like it was a big waste of money..was hardly getting any juice. Great idea! Angie, I feel your pain..lol..I feel better about doing it that way..It's still fantastic for your body and I don't think I'll feel like binging at night anymore..The morning and afternoon juice gives me the energy I need to carry out my day but I am STARVING by 6pm..the exact time I have to make my son dinner..lol... I found that when I was restricting myself..All I could think about was food..Now that I've learned to relax a little and give myself some options, I feel a lot better.Good luck on your juice feast..When are you starting?
