As I am now on day 37 of my 92 Day Juice Feast. I'm definitely in. I have to give a big heads up to Jason Green at Liquiteria. I was in NYC this weekend for a conference and I made arrangements with him to deliver all of my juices for the weekend to my hotel! It was awesome and really helped me to continue on the path. I had pineapple and orange for breakfast. Mid day apple, carrot, collards and romaine mix. This afternoon I have celery, cucumber, kale, and spinach and tonight I will be having tomato, cucumber, red pepper, celery, and mesclun mix. Yum Yum.. You are going to feel really great doing this. I can't believe the energy that I have.

Michelle, let me know what kind of support you need and I will be glad to help you. I'm following the guidelines at juicefeasting.com and a great freind of mine is helping coach me through this.

Michelle, On the juicefeast they don't want you to do caffeinated teas and green tea still has caffeine in it. You are okay with an herbal tea like chamoille, nettles, peppermint, ginger.... Just read the other thread and thought I would pass that along. I love that Bunny started this thread and that you guys will be with me as I continue my journey down this path. I've already lost 12 pounds!! This will be fun to post everyday to see how everyone is doing.

=^..^= Ooooo this is a tempting thread.
Can anyone play (do this feast) or only those on the weight loss road?

I've been thinking lately about using a juice feast to bump my bodies alkalinity. With the weather changing to cold-season here, I am thinking of preventative medicine :)

Wondering if perhaps someone can answer this question for me:

Thirty days is a long time ... hadn't thought to give myself any parameters. Is there a minimum timeframe for results (speaking of flushing toxins like caffeine or sugars for example) for being on a juice feast? I know that any juice is better than none, and a day of juicing is still better ... but what if you are looking to boost your immune system? Is a week enough? Two? Less? More?

This juicefeast will definitely alkaline the body. I'm juicing 1 - 3 pounds of greens per day with other vegetables like cucumber, celery.... which is very alkalining. Check out the website www.juicefeasting.com or Angela's book the Juicefeaster's handbook, it can answer a lot of your questions as well. You can do a feast for any length of time. The key is to break the fast properly. Hope this helps.

Great point with regards to Green Tea Debi.....I have plenty of herbals here also......thank you for the support...I was wondering what kind of detox symptoms you have felt.....last time I was ''fully'' raw...I was also a full blown smoker and milky starbucks coffee drinker.....this time however....Its all about the juice....have not smoked for almost 4 months now :) Coffee has gone also from today! so I know I never fully detoxed.....also I never stuck at it for long!

zUzU...Hi :) I chose 30 days as a means to discipline myself really, also for weight loss BUT 30 days is a big commitment for me as I am such a quitter........I was thinking ''' hey..if I can quit smoking ( which I loved, even though its awful ) successfully then I can pretty much do anything''............hence the ultimate test of 30 days..........:) In answer to your question on time frames....I also read that you can also finish a juice fast 2 days after the end of detox symptoms.....this is a successful de-tox.

Just enjoyed breakfast of a whole pineapple......juiced :)

Michelle Interesting enough it hasn't been too bad with symptoms. As always alot of bowel movements after about a week they tend to stay on the loose side. The first couple of days felt a little more tired. Two weeks in all of sudden I had some major nasal drainage, some skin bumps, and that is about it. I haven't really had any cravings either.

Todays juices are 1 quart Pineapple and Orange again, 1 quart Turnip, Bok Choy and Apple, 1 quart cucumber, carrot, red russian kale. Last quart will be tomato, red pepper, zucchini, and spinach. Forgot to get celery yesterday. Will go to the farmer's market today to stock up on my greens, apples, and if I'm lucky maybe a few more tomatoes. Possible some sunchokes, and definitely some zucchine, carrots, beets and turnips. Have fun today everyone.

I'm actually having a smoothie this afternoon because, um, BASIL spontaneously went into the kitchen and made two giant green smoothies. I wasn't going to turn that down. Imagine if I'd said, "Back in the kitchen, and strain that through a nut milk bay, cabana boy!"

Tonight I'm juicing a Mexican Fiesta. Lots of tomatoes, garlic, chili peppers, cilantro. I feel like Mexian tonight.
