100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Hi, everyone!
Anyone else here with 100 lbs or more to lose? I know that anyone with any weight to lose can relate to many of the different things that go with being overweight, & weight loss...but those of us with LOTS to lose, the obese, morbidly obese, etc. have some additional issues going on.

I thought I'd see if anyone else would like to join me here with supporting each other on this particular aspect of our raw journey, with accountability, sharing our struggles & victories, as well as solutions to issues those with less weight to lose don't deal with...& whatever else we're led to share.

{Perhaps Bunny would even set up a specific group here for us...? Bunny...?}

Soooo...anyone interested?

Soooooo how's everyone else here doing?
How've you been doing with the challenges?
I'd love to catch up with you all, & will hopefully be starting up our own group as the year begins...

I'm finally surrendering to the fact that it really is about health, & progressing in other ways, too, not just on the scale...I'm thankful for the pounds I've shed so far (nearly 40, after some back & forthing!) but am finally eating a lot more raw on a daily basis, even when I'm not 100%, & am beginning to get free of some old habits & patterns, & moving more, which seems to be an important key to my staying raw!

Ok, so i will jump right in! Thanks for letting me join in.

We were walking 2 miles a day, for months, and then my leg starting hurting more and more, until i couldn't walk at all. It's getting better now but i'm not walking at all until i'm sure it's completely healed. And this is the worst time of year to be "dieting", there is food everywhere at work. I really have to get going with my plan, i'm going to start this weekend off with a nice big green smoothie and try to stay away from bread (my biggest downfall being chocolate). Dinner is the hardest time for me, i can do smoothies for breakfast and salads for lunch, but choking down a smoothie at dinner when i'm usually cold is tough for me. ugh

Is it too late to join or will you continue? I have more than100 to lose and have found I have actually lost a little doing the raw food. Slowly though, how it is working for everyone else?

Gabriele,
It was VERY cold today in good ole California. And for me I'm always on the cold side on a daily basis. So for dinner tonight I took 3 carrots, 1 zucchini, 1 avocado, 2 stalks of celery, some spinach, salt, cayenne and a little water to get it going. Blended it till it got a little warm to the touch and then added some defrosted corn off the cob, for some crunch. As long as it doesn't get too warm its still raw and the cayenne helps to warm you up also.
Hope that helps when it gets cold and you want to have some soup. It takes no time to make either.

thanks for the tip with the soup. It's actually a little warmer right now, but a 19 degree high temp is headed our way. yuck. That soup does sound yummy.
