I think this went as a PM instead of a post. I'm new...sorry!!
This is pretty exciting for me. I had been back & forth on raw, but this time am doing it to correct some ailments and the weight loss is a boon. I've been transitioning since the 100 day challenge began and just went high raw last Monday. It's great!!!
This is great. I lost 11 in my first week, but that was only because of the 3 muscle conditioning n cardio classes taken at the YMCA and 2 runs on the treadmill. So, you're probably doing much better. I have so much to learn, but am loving the fact that I'm eating all fresh veggies and fruits. I love being a raw foodist so much and feel great.
But I need to do more reading because while I was waiting for my beans to sprout (they will not be ready until tomorrow) I had such a craving for protein. I killed 3 weeks of work with a can of light red kidney beans. Agh! BUt I look at it this way. In the past, I would kill my routine with some fries and a soy burger thinking that was halfway decent.
I'm thankful for this ning group and the support from friends that have encouraged me to start my first blog. Check it out in your spare time: www.rawvegan2009.wordpress.com
Well, it's late and I felt blah after those prep beans from earlier. So, I'm going to run a few miles and get those happy endorphins going.
Wendy,
That's pretty cool!!! I lost some serious weight when I first went raw, but I've been sliding around so much lately that I'm gaining some back. I need to get my head back in the game and what a great time to do it......it's springtime and so many farmers markets around.......here's hoping I can get it together again!!!!
Yeah Wendy !
