I believe it would greatly benefit my STAYING raw to have a deeper level of accountability & support! I've been back & forth with raw for 2 years now, at least, & am transitioned enough already!
Only 100% gets the scale moving, which is what I need for my health concerns!

I'm gonna STOP PROCRASTINATING.....tomorrow....

Kidding! Actually, I've been working on this particular area of my life for awhile now....ok, I confess, years...been looking at the reasons behind it, the roots of it, the ways I do it, the ways that best help me to stop, & just get off my butt & DO IT (whatever IT is that day...)

Healing, slowly but surely...

...Well, after a week of barely being able to move, due to my neck/shoulder going out, it's been healing some each day, & today, I'm finally able to get off the anti-inflammatories & take half the pain meds, & function (somewhat) again...
...thanks, everyone, for your prayers & well wishes!

Though this has been intense, & very difficult, it's also made me so appreciative of the level of health I do have, & what I am capable of changing, especially concerning my mo… Continue

Hi Anastazia,
I was looking at you page. Wow you have lost a lot of weight! I love your music. Do you know any christain music that would be for people in love? I want to make a romantic songs tape for my date in December. I have not heard of any love songs for cupples. What do people play at a christain wedding? Thanks for you friendship.

=^..^= Hi Anastazia!
Me too. Organic fresh baby coconuts. Wish wish wish! What we get shipped here can't compare to the real thing in look or taste. I hope you get to travel someday soon and sample the green ones opened right in front of you! Hanna would love it! Those shipped almost always have had the outer hard green shell removed, which is the safety seal as far as I am concerned. Keeps the goodness inside & the nasty out. The white husk is porous which is why they get dipped to prevent fungus.

Sad, but true. The young coconuts we get here ... It's like eating canned pineapple vs. cut fresh from the plant in Costa Rica. Just not comparable quality period. Sigh. With pineapple, I admit I do buy fresh Hawaiian one's flown in that are at least sorta okay, Costa Rican ones travel too far as well as growing practices are well... I stick with Hawaiian grown and order them whenever I feel rich. Those are worth it. (If you must have a 'fresh pineapple' from the store buy Hawaiian -Maui gold and if you don't like irradiated foods, stay clear of Dole).

Good to see you again! --xx zU

Hi! I've got the Chili cheez recipe for you! I don't measure, but it's all to taste, enjoy!
ripe avocado
chili powder (to taste, but use quite a bit)
nutritional yeast (to taste)
sea salt
I usually use spinach, and then put it in the dehydrator, but it's super good fresh. God bless!

Thanks Anastazia. My darling husband went out to get me some salt to add to my baths & came back with Epsom Salt instead of Sea Salt. Do you know if that'll do the same thing?

My family has done so well with my lifestyle change. I'm really just trying not to push them right now. Especially since I've been struggling - I really have no ground to stand on when I've been eating BBQ with them! Just trying to take it one day at a time.
The daughter is not detoxing because she is just doing smoothies in the morning and cooked food the rest of the day. I'm just so happy that she is getting greens in her diet, since her dad doesn't care for them. And regarding her dad, he is open to add things to his diet (I got up with him this morning and made him a smoothie too!), but not taking them away yet. I'm just trying not to push anyone - not preaching is difficult for me.

Its so inspiring to read that even on the days that you're in too much pain to do aerobic workouts that you'll lift weights. You go! I've never done any weight lifting. I started a running program and that is really difficult. I'm going to stick with that and see if I can get myself up to 5k by 2010.

Yeah it's tough...I used to be into more of the metaphysical alternative stuff so I have to remember that back then I didn't have the same perspective I do now...I really miss connecting w/people who are self aware and interested in health. There aren't that many in my church community..they kind of joke about loving to eat down home. Internet communities can suck up your time too - I have to really limit the # I'm involved in.

So far I haven't had any trouble with the links. They area all great. I should have done a little shopping prior to the weekend. I was so busy getting ready for my daughters bday party that I didn't prepare well for the weekend.I have struggled several days and given in to a few standby's. We had church potluck tonight.. arghhh, I had a salad, but so many people wanting us to try their things. I feel like a slug now! The one good thing is feeling this way makes me realize, once again, how much I hate the SAD diet and the addictions I have to it. I need to stay on top of the preparation.
How about you... what did you do with all of your goodies???

I've been doing well. Although I don't have many recipes under my belt yet, I've been eating almost 100% raw each day, and have lost 15 lbs since starting raw about a month ago. My husband is happy to add veggies to his diet, but not at all interested in going vegetarian - he sure does love him some MEAT - so I'm not pushing it.

My step-daughter asked me yesterday to do a few days raw with me, and of course I was so excited. Today is our first day, and she is having a hard time without bread and milk.

Tell me what is up with you, have you continued with increasing activity? Reading some of your comments I see that you're doing home school for your child(ren)? What a great thing to do! It must be really challenging.

Thanks for the great comments and encouragement! I am not celiac as far as I know, but I have noticed that I get tired and blah-y when I do eat gluten, so I just don't want to eat it as much anymore. Which is nice, because I've noticed that eating that stuff also makes me want more and more and more to eat.

Heyo Anastazia!
How are you doing today? I have to ask, what part of BC are you in? I grew up in northern BC (Smithers), then moved to Vancouver for school and now find myself in (freezing) Winnipeg :). No one in Manitoba can believe I left Vancouver...

Anyway, my journey through raw has been in very small steps. Some days I'm really good about adding in all my veggies, watching what I eat. Other days I find myself at KFC. Seriously! I've never been someone to go cold turkey...so baby steps all the way. I have to admit though, I cannot believe how unconscious my eating was AND how strong cravings can be. I would have never though food had so much power over me! That, in itself, has been such a wonderful lesson.

I hope things are going well for you right now and you've settled into your new place.
Hugs,
Paige

I've been so busy even though this is supposed to be the quiet time of year that I have not paid much attention to Bunny's bazillion tasks with the wholefu challenge. For me it may be too much right now. I am just eating better and trying to be gentle on myself. I am under a lot of stress doing a profession that I am passionate about but my body has suffered and I must get me back.Anyway, I am packing bee pollen, maca, greens, flax, you name it in my morning smoothies. I have tons of recipes but sick of any prep...so it's all simple. I just got back off all carbs...I love the earthy wheats, ryes etc but I am an addict.
Hang in there and know we are numbers plugging along.

Hi Anastazia!
I’m glad to see you on online and back at the Fu again. It is wonderful to be so busy and exploring your new home. I’m sure it is stressful and overwhelming figuring out what needs to be done and the best way to do it for the homeschool requirement. I remember how I felt when we first started to homeschool here in Greece, thankfully with years under my belt the planning is not nearly as difficult now. We are almost done with all our scheduling and we have all of our book here except for 2 workbooks that Abeka forgot on our order and are being shipping now. This year having only the girls will be much easier all around and we have some really fun things planned daily, weekly and monthly. Reward charts are started but not finished yet. We are also taking a few classes from Potter’s school again this year. Sophie will be taking an English class and science and Georgie is taking the same creative writing class that Sophie took and loved last year. We get very gung ho at the start of September and try to keep the motivation going all the way to the end! I’m really excited about this year but do wish we had a few more weeks of summer vacation to enjoy, it feels like the fires interrupted our time. I wrote a post about having to evacuate our home on here. We’ll be getting school work done early the first few weeks leaving afternoons free to visit the sea when it is still really warm weather, the sea water cools down so quickly.
I am so jealous about all your berries. That is something I really miss about living in the Northwest. I love the wild huckleberries and blackberries! I do hope you will be able to post some pictures to share with all of us.
Thank you for letting me know how you are doing. I think of you often and wonder about you.
Love,
Ce
