Bunny, I forgot you can't do nuts. Oops! Also, I realized tonight that it is a bit too lemon-y for my taste, so you may want to start with less lemon juice. Kirbycuke - I'm glad you appreciate the recipes; I'll definitely keep posting them!

When I was staying with Shea and Stephen, they made this amazing breakfast every morning. It was kind of like a chunky cereal, served in a bowl with blackberries on top. I made my own version this morning. Tahini Blueberry Sprouted Flaxseed Hemp ...

I am constantly in progress, so whatever I "know" is just where I am right now. This is an important thing for me, since i tend to want to figure things out all at once. For today, I have finally figured out that if I try to plan what I eat based ...

I'm Sad

I have recently faced the fact that my blood sugar levels have been out of control the majority of the time ever since I started using agave. Now I am just sad, wondering what my health might be like if I had never tried agave 4 years ago. I know I've learned from the experience, and I know I can go forward from here, and a million other positive things that I'm sure will come to me later. Right now, I'm just sad.

My "New" Diet

I am a type 1 diabetic & have been raw most of the last 4 1/2 years. I have had a lot of problems with insulin resistance (which isn't normally a type 1 issue) & other health challenges in those years (although some of the health issues existed before that, too). Not only have I had health problems, but in the last year and a half (since I was hospitalized for complications of diabetes), I have put on almost as much weight as I lost in the first three months of eating raw. Weird. Anyhow,… Continue

On My Own

I have type 1 diabetes.

I feel a bit with experts/raw gurus & diabetes like some people say they feel with the medical industry & whatever health problems they had before they found raw food & got well: I feel it's time for me to find exactly what will heal my body. And I haven't found it in all the books I've read or all the videos or blogs or whatever else I've looked at relating to healing, nutrition, raw foods, non-raw foods, etc. - and there have been a lot. I'm done looking to… Continue

Raw Road Trip

I recently returned from a six day road trip, and I thought I'd share my adventures as a raw road-tripper. I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to find raw ingredients, or that they'd cost way too much, when we drove from Utah to the Seattle area for a family reunion & my cousin's bridal shower last week. I also eat a LOT of food, so I was worried about running out of filling foods on the 17-hour (one way) drive. I spent most of two days planning menus, shopping, and preparing food t… Continue

I am so glad people are liking the relationship video series. I was really scared to post this aspect of my life, but I really feel it will empower me in the end.
