=^..^= bless you Jamie!
i have been dancing around the WEN idea for a bit now (saw it in on TV at a friends and then later had no idea how to find it) ... yours was just the information I needed. I have very long, thick wavy-red hair ... and if I ...
Interesting discussion. What I have not seen mentioned is Henna. I use a Henna pack about every 2-3 weeks, on one side for the color and more important my scalp and hair likes it. My hair is fine and it seem the Henna gives it more volume, besides...
I've been wondering about this. I read in another thread somewhere that someone said that they didn't have body odor or icky bathroom odor after going 100% raw...but what about garlic? a few weeks ago I really went to town on the garlic and when I...
Hello all,
I have been poo-free since Tuesday and my hair is really grossly greasy but I actually don't care :-). I just hide it under a head band and since I am not in front of a mirror all day, I can't see it anyway haha.
I've poured some lemon...
im very new to this site, but had to check out this discussion.
i like to mix up an avocado, olive oil, coconut oil, and/or other yummy stuff and slather it all over my hair and leave it on for like 10 mins under a cap or hot towel for deep condi...
My hair doesn't get greasy when I'm trying to go no-poo, but frizzier. I have to shampoo and condition to tame and moisturize, it seems. Does anyone else have curly-frizzy texture like this? I love coconut oil for my body and tried it on my hair, ...
Wow, that was quick! When do you finish? Things here are good but I am still wrapped up in the baby-business. Ended up having a second miscarriage but it was earlier than the last one and not as devastating. Seems like my energies have been focused on the baby-making first and foremost and the eating raw as a secondary thing. I've been so wrapped up with that that I haven't been around here that much. I think I am gonna put myself on the next challenge though.
I really really appreciate your reply Beth! The same goes for you - if you ever need to vent, feel free to email me. Since reading your comment, I've made an appointment with a Psychologist & also a Councillor, both of whom I was seeing before & feel comfortable with them so will be able to talk openly. How does massage or acupuncture help?
My honey came from my Baba's neighbours farm, where the amount of honey you got depended not on your order, but how much extra honey was produced, so it wasn't as bad as conventional honey. I much prefer agave nectar, if I'm making something that requires extra sweetness, which is rarely. Dates ftw!
As for tarot, yes, since I was a child. My favourite deck is a dragon tarot deck, although I have experimented with other decks, and own a Thoth deck that I've used maybe once. I tend to go off intuition when I read, so the spreads can be random sometimes. My defaults are the celtic cross with extra three card spreads for if a card needs extra explanation. Like I said, I tend to go intuition, so sometimes a card will just set me off rambling. I get scared when I start getting too accurate, so thats where the extra three cards come in - it makes it seem more like the information is 'all in the cards' so to speak, rather than the cards connecting me to "source" and letting the information ramble through me.
Hey! Thanks for the add :) Also, about the honey information on your page - really?! Is that about cooked, or about all honey, raw included? I used to eat a lot of honey while I was vegan (maybe just to be belligerent about being an insect-abusing vegan :P) and I still have a bucket of honey left and I'm not sure what to do about it. If that information is the case, then it's only gonna get used to make face masks now!
hey girl! glad to see you posting. hope school is going well. i know what you mean about the student massage. i've been a "practice body" for many an aspiring massage therapist...
Hey Beth I was just reading all your stuff and if you want a buddy this winter to do the MC, I would love to do it with you. I did it for 14 days and lost 15 pounds. I was thinking of doing it in December. I am really an all or nothing girl too.
"When humans eat honey, it immediately begins to reabsorb moisture from the stomach and stomach flora. It destroys our symbiotic bacterial population wholesale. Several tablespoons of honey makes most people very sick.
In humans honey, more so than cane and beet sugars, is acid-forming and decalcifying. The body draws calcium from its teeth and bones, if necessary, to neutralize the acids introduced and formed."
