I LOVE my dry brush!!! I've been doing this for about 10 months before I get into the shower each day and then follow up by putting on extra virgin coconut oil after getting out of the shower. I set the container into a bowl of very warm water befor…

Trying.....Again!!!

Well, this will be about my third serious try at raw food. I did happen to find out that a friend of ours was eating raw for a little while and loved it (Hello, Mickey!). I'm hoping that we can encourage each other with this. Maybe that will be a help.

My L'equip RPM blender started chipping on the inside of the canister--it was actually the covering on the base of the blade assembly. I'm anxiously waiting for Kitchen Resources to send me my replacement. It was covered under warranty and they s… Continue

Hi Brenda!

I looked for it, too, but I guess I never included it in my blog. I'm sorry about that.

Here's what it is:

Take about 2 cups of walnuts and put them into a food processor.
Add about 1 cup of dried coconut flakes (make sure they are raw and not sugar coated).
Add about 1/2 cup of raw carob powder (half of that if it's roasted).
Then add as much agave nectar as you desire, to get a good consistency and sweetness.

Just process it until it's smooth and press it into a pan, cut, and eat! You can refrigerate it, too, and it will last a long time.

Experiment with it. We sometimes added essential oils to it and it was great.

Lots of love to you,

Wendi
XOXOXO

Thank you so much!! I've just skimmed your site and already find it so informative and supportive. I'll be checking it out more in the morning when I have more time. My time is limited in the evening due to my 3 small children. I just put them to bed and am about to relax a bit myself before going to sleep. Morning is "me time." LOL!

I do have a food processor and will be checking out your raw fudge recipe. I crave chocolate and do NOT want it to be my downfall. I truly feel like the raw lifestyle is the way for me. I was raw for quite a few months 3 years ago and felt absolutely wonderful!! I lost 18 pounds and had such clear thinking....but then we sold our house and moved...that was the beginning of the end for my raw food eating. I just recently have been getting back into the swing of things and am prepared to begin my raw journey again.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll definitely be checking out more of your pages tomorrow! Good night for now and thank you so much!

Brenda!

I read your post about needing sweets. What kinds of kitchen appliances do you have? It would be wonderful for you to find some recipes that you enjoy that are desserts and sweet and feel like you are doing something wrong when you are eating them because they are soooo good!

When I was going raw, I was hooked on making a version of fudge all the time. I ate it at home, carried it with me when I left the house, and never tired of it. Now I don't like it--I prefer sweet fruits for my desserts (and I NEVER would have guessed that would be the case for me, EVER!).

If you have a food processor, the fudge I ate (as well as some brownies that my husband was hooked on) is listed on my blog (www.purejeevan.com/blog). Just look on the right and click on desserts.

If you don't have a food processor, let me know what you have and we may be able to find some sweet raw treats that you'll enjoy that can help you stick to your raw challenge!!

Lots of love to you,

Wendi
XOXOXO
