This is the first video I have watched in a while, and I watched the WHOLE thing. Goodness it was long :)
But I needed to hear your honesty. Lately I have allowed more cooked foods than I would like to have in my diet in (and really bad things at ...
Wow, what an awesome story! Wishing I could see the video right now though, work has it blocked but will be checking it out later. Every time I hear stories like this I want to go and shake the sugar loving McDonald's eating diabetics I know. At t...
That is so crazy about your phone. I have dropped mine so many times and have had nothing happen? Did you drop it off a four story building ;)
I also like the idea of the grapefruit in the dressing. Been getting bored with my dressings lately and...
Great video. I can have now been on RAW foods (not 100%) for almost a year now. And I STILL have a bit of a gut, granted I did lose a lot of it. I have also seen YouTube videos of other male RAW foodies that had a bit of a guy still showing too, b...

Did I mention I like Rock Climbing? I also enjoy the occasional backpacking trip. I also do a bit of freelance photography as well, but not near as much as I used to.
DUDE, that dressing is amazing! I have been longing for something like this. Now if only there was a blue cheese version :) Shared some with my non-raw roommates too and they also loved it. Thanks so much for this.

I have recently decided to start eating high raw again. I have only been on a plant based diet since Sept. 2008 . I started off eating a high raw diet around August of 2008. Soon after that and weeks of painful detoxing I decided to give up meat.
But once winter hit I guess my cooked food cravings rose and maintaining a high raw lifestyle became difficult. But now that winter is over I am craving more raw foods, HOWEVER, this time I am not as driven and I am finding it harder to avoid cravings. The initial honeymoon period with raw foods is over, so I need inspiration to stay in it.
I will never adopt a 100% raw food diet for based on religious convictions. Basically part of my faith hinges on fellowship with other people, being social and loving others. I find that VERY hard to do on a 100% raw diet. So far that reason 75% is the highest I will go, and is my goal.
I have for the past several months though maintained close to 50%, but I am working on ramping that up and hoping to do so very rapidly. I need encouragement though to avoid cooked foods, especially when I don't even need them (like this evening when I indulged in a greasy plate of fries right after eating a raw salad and banana). I need lots of help :) Hoping to find the inspiration I need right here.

Yea, something about the word 'fellowship' which made me think you were Christian, I am too, woop wooop. :)
Raw meals? Ohhhhhhh I soooo needa learn some aye, I think I just need variety in making me have a high raw diet - I really would like to be 80/90% raw, because I was 90-100% raw for about 2months over christmas last year, and I've never felt so good mentally and physically in all my life, it was amazing, during the summer of course, when the peaches, nectarines, pineapples, strawberries, beautifully juicy oranges and mandarins, alllllllllll the good stuff, are in. So really wanna get back to that - but yea I think variety is a biggie - smoothies and fruit are amazing, but sometimes something else would be real nice - THATS where i go eat terrible food - cos honestly some of the photos that people have of their raw food on here look sooooooo supa tasty. yummm. Not much goes on here in New Zealand as far as raw goes, rawists are veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy few.
I havn't been to Africa, but hope to in the next 3years for a month or two - there or India anyway, within the next 3years, then after that I'd really like to do a few months on Mercy Ships, which tours Africa - check it out if you havn't heard of them, they do SUCH amazing stuff. The photos of the beautiful brown babies I have there are ones I cheekily take off google......every so often I'll just do a search on images of brown babies in Africa, there are always new ones, so I just take my favourites and keep them in a folder, then just look through them at how cute and beautiful they are, and how badly I wanna go see them.
BUT I did go to Bangladesh for a month, that was back in 06 though, but yea, just a random mission trip, went with a group of about 9/10? Not a trip where you went to share jesus really, just I dunno, a 'just cos' trip really. :)
Sorry I write sooooooooo much, I'm a guilty rambler.
Hey Caleb,
Hows the raw thing going with summer having arrived?
Sooooo know what you mean about it being harder in the winter aye, at the moment im in my bedroom, with heater cranked, door closed, hoodie and arm warmers on, gloves....its freeezing, and not so tempting to go up and make a cold smoothie....cannot WAIT till summer hits again, sooo much easier, even just with the fruits that come into season..... :)
So with you saying you would never go 100% for religious reasons, because a large part of your religion involves fellowship........what religion are you? I dont think I would ever go 100% raw either, definitely not raw vegan anyway...but id like to get up to about 80-90%.....consistently. :)
