i like to use mellow tasting pulp combinations with recipes that are supposed to mimic egg salad or tuna salad. So I'll make a nut based sauce and then add the pulp instead of nuts for texture. This has quickly become a popular dish in my family.

I swear that the reason I'm doing so well raw at this time is my very regular enemas. Well, that and making sure to eat copious amounts of greens. Really though, the enemas have made my detox and transition much easier. I have some really serious ...
I'm here because I know I need community to stay raw. I've been ill for years with immune issues, food and chemical allergies and various mystery illnesses. I discovered raw 3 years ago and have experimented with all levels, 50-100%. 40 days ago I...
I have a Vitamix 4500 which I guess makes me old school since I don't see it on their website anymore! I bought this one because it was cheapest, there was only one jug option and there is no variable speed. You know what? It totally obliterates a...
Also Food Not Bombs is an excellent resource. Might not be raw but better options than ramen. I think they distribute produce as well but I would get there early! Maybe even volunteer to get more help. Here is the Minnesota listings:

I'm not sure if you have heard of the Freegan movement but it is growing fast where I am. I'm sure in a city like Minneapolis there would be much to take advantage of. Here is the main site for more info: http://freegan.info/
If you were retaining a lot of water and/or really constipated it is possible. I think it might be a sign that you need to be more balanced and consistent with your diet and exercise.
It's also important to weigh yourself at the same time of day ...
Thanks for the feedback it was really helpful. Your right, it's Tonya Kay's job to look the way she does. I can't get that out of my head now. Thanks, so much!
I saw a friend of a friend. She looked wonderful. She had lost alot of weight and had such a beautiful glow about her. When I asked what she was doing to look so fabulous, she told me about her cousin who was a raw foodist. At first I thought she was crazy, and how extreme the idea of only eating raw food sounded.
Finally, after giving it some thought, I was anxious tro try it. I felt like nothing was going to help me with losing weight. So I made an appointment to see her. When she explained the benefits of being raw, I was shocked. I was just trying this to lose weight.
I started her program and failed almost immediately. By the third day, I had given up. I found it very hard to do with a family of 4 still eating "SAD" food. Also, my new mentor was making the food for me, so I had to pick up the food every other day. One day I had no food left and was hungry, my kids wanted Burger King and I just gave up right then and there.
A year later, I felt just as bad except this time I was noticing that I was having alot of joint pains and also chest pains. I'm assuming it was stress. Everything stresses me out, the economy..trying to give my kids the best life I can give them.....etc. Also, my friend was getting married, and asked me to be in the wedding. Here we go again.......stressed out about weight. I finally said no more. I'm tired of feeling miserable, irritable...no more diet pills. I just went to get me well again. Losing weight is very important to me, but getting internally well is even more important. So here I am. RAW for almost 5 weeks now. I still cook SAD food for my family, but am not even tempted to go back. I've lost a little over 10lbs.
Okay, I'm going to stop writing now. I think I just wrote a book. LOL
Great!!!!! I'm going to check it out right now. How long have you been RAW? How much weight have you lost? What keeps you going on a daily basis? I could keep going, but I'll give you a chance to answer those ? first. :)
