I'm STILL awake...but not for much longer...just wanted to say go slow, just do one cute little beet the first time, work your ay up, don't have 'em daily, & maybe mix 'em with something stronger tasting...gate up some onion or garlic to mix it with?

Oh, just glancing over you blog posts above, raw beets will raise your iron levels, & are great grated (with the small holes, especially!) into salads, etc.!
& of course blackstrap mollasses will also raise your iron, but ain't raw...are you 100% or high raw? I've read 1 tablespoon a day in milk (almond? Rice? Whatever) will raise it fairly quickly.
