I woke up with a raspy cough then started getting chills in the late morning. My fever broke sometime that night but returned the next night. Today is day three for me and I feel much better. I'm weak and I still have a cough but with enough rest I…
Hi Hannah. I was raised in Indiana...graduated from Purdue. I lived a short stint in Indianapolis, too while I worked in Carmel. So I can totally appreciate your picture standing in a corn field! I don't see cornfields very often at all in Oregon!
What part of the state do you live in? Maybe we will meet at RawUnion...I am a volunteer in the kitchen on Sunday.
Hi Hannah,
Obviously I don't check my page often.
Yes, I have heard of Vision Forum and we have viewed that video and have many of their CD's and books. Several of their people are going to speaking at our homeschool convention this year.
I have one younger teen and an older one.
Just keep doing your best.
No, my family eats a lot of raw food, smoothies and juices but my hubby is not raw....he does try most anything I make and has been on a few smoothie cleanses.
One of my weaknesses is beans!!! I love them!!! and baked corn chips.
I like juicing...it really works well for me....loads of energy and curbs my appetite. Green Lemonade mostly.
I am staying high raw....except for those beans...my mind says 100% but my stomach says beans!!! silly, huh?
Hi Hannah! I'll answer your questions as best I can, let me know if you would like any more info!
Do you have a "style" or do you try to vary each design? I find myself continually attracted to the same style.
· sometimes... Clients will sometimes come to me and say "I really like what you did for so-and-so... could you do something in that same style for me?" Also, although I don't believe I have an overall "style", I've been told that my eye for color attracts a lot of people. I don't think that's really a style, but more of an attribute. A lot of my projects are colorful! I do try to not get stuck in any stylistic rut though... sometimes when you're on a deadline you just have to do what you know worked before.
When someone comes to you with a job, how do you get started? Especially how do you get started when you already have 10 projects to going!?
· First off, I give them a design brief, which they fill out and answer some questions about their company so I have a better idea of the type of style/work they are looking for. Then, I schedule them into my calender (gmail calender is AMAZING... check it out if you haven't already). Then, I just try to follow my calendar as best I can.
How do you deal with customers who want/like a design that you dont want to claim as your own? You don't have to put everything in your portfolio. The annoying part is when they tell EVERYONE you've done it... If it's that bad, I just politely ask them to not put my name on it if possible. It really depends on the situation. You'll also get clients that could have had an incredible design, but they micromanaged it to the point where it's horrible... I just don't put those on/in my portfolio. The good work speaks for itself, you know?
Anyhow.... sorry for talking your ear off!! Let me know if any of this was helpful and if you need any more info at all. :)
I am moving back to school in 15 days. I cant believe its so soon! I go to school about 2 and a half hours away from home so I'm not able to live here. Last year I lived in a dorm so my kitchen consisted of a box of food stored under my bed and a mini-fridge. :) But this year, I'll be in an apartment with a decent sized kitchen so hopefully I'll be able to manage. I am a little worried, but it should work out. Will you be living at home or at school?
I'm really hoping that this challenge helps me to heal too. I did a cleanse back in February, one of those mucoid plaque ones, but I never felt any difference after it.
Awww, Ralphie, that's cute!
My sis has 2 cats & couldn't keep it straight, which one was which, so she called 'em both Kiska (Russian for kitty!) & they both came to it! Lol!
My hubby & I had a cat once named Kitty-Witty-Sucky-Baby-Face-Sweetie-Pest! & she came to that! *grin*
