Hi Samantha, I would like to join you if you're still juicing-feasting... I did a master cleanse over a year ago, and probably about 50% raw right now. And really in need of a good cleanse. Let me know, and I will get the fridge cleaned out and stoc…
Hey, Jennie. :)
What's hard for me? Eating. Finding new things to eat. Finding time to eat. But I am still about 100% raw on most days. How are things going for you?
ventress...I kind of go back and forth in my mind between "it doesn't taste as "good" as cooked food...I'm depriving myself" and "food is medicine...it heals my body, taste is secondary". Practically, it's so easy for me to do breakfast and lunch raw during the week because I'm working. Dinner is harder because my boyfriend has all kinds of cooked/non-vegan foods in the cupboard/refrigerator. And weekends are hard for me...I seem to obsess and spend a lot of time thinking about food - so much that he ridicules me for "obsessing" over food!
Hi Jennie, good to hear from you! So far, the challenge has been much more do-able than I thought it would be, so I'm so grateful for that. I'm not 100% raw [but more than 50%], just being patient with myself and taking my time with the transition. My challenges have been mostly in the area of keeping enough food on hand where I don't feel like I have to "ration." This week has been good in that respect, though--maybe I'm getting into a rhythm!
Weekends are usually tough for me, too, but this weekend went very well. I think I've eaten more raw this w/e than at any other time in the challenge. How has the challenge been for you--aside from the dreaded weekend?... :)
Hi Lisa! Wow, more and more from Bama. Thanks for the welcome. I am very quite on the forum right now. Just kind of been going inside myself lately and finding peace that way. EAting raw for 8 days now and some detoxing going on. Feeling really positive in my mind and spirit right now. I have given up alcohol during since the start of this challenge and I've been successful so far. Good luck to you and your sister on the 100 day challenge. Lots of people here and a lot to read!
I am currently about 50-75% raw and feeling better than I ever have in my life! My focus this challenge will be to have one green smoothie each day, one large salad each day, and increasing my alkaline water intake. I also plan to exercise for at least 30 min/day 5 days a week. One thing I want to do is learn how to make kefir and other fermented veggies to add to my raw food diet.
