Wow! This all sounds so wonderful! You said despite some recommendations, you enrolled in Institute for Integrative Health, what were other choices? I had looked into that program as well. I love the new shoes!

Why Do You Want to Join Raw Fu?
I am working on becoming 100% raw and I think this will be fun to challenge myself a bit more. Also, would like to connect with other raw foodists.

Day 26

Well it is day 26 and I have been away from participating on this site for various reasons. Lots of personal stuff, lack of time and the obligation to my daughter and her stuff since school has started. I feel sometimes like I haven't had anytime for myself. My alone, me, meditation and relaxing time has been when I am in the kitchen making and trying out new raw food recipes. I bought Matthew's Everyday Raw which came in the mail in the middle of last week and I must say he really makes the gre… Continue

Day 5

I woke up this morning feeling somewhat hung over, and extremely hungry. I wondered if my body is starting the detox process. I managed to make to the kitchen a short time later and make myself a Super Smoothie (fresh squeezed oj, strawberries, mixed variety of greens, dates, raw coconut , raw agave and a bit of raw cacao. It was super yum yum! After a couple of hours I had my energy back and was excited to figure out what the rest of my raw day would consume. I am truly enjoying this challenge.… Continue

Lisa, There's a raw meetup Jan 18th - google meetup.com and search raw food. Jenya is a local raw chef and it's going to be at her place. Would love to meet you. I also plan to go to R. Thomas on the 14th, if there's enough interested to have a raw meetup there too. Happy 100 day challenge!

Thank you for the friend request. I am so technologically challenged that I think I may have accidentally hit Block Messages from this sender, when I meant to hit accept. Please forgive me. Will try to get this fixed ASAP. Yes, I want to be your friend!

I recently vacationed in Oregon, such a beautiful state. There is a great restaurant/cafe in Portland called Blossoming Lotus Cafe. The raw dishes they serve that I ordered were yum.

Just read your "Day 5" post - you are doing great. Keep it up!

Hiya! Thanks for checking in. Day 5 complete. Have been taking it one day at a time as you suggest, and so far, so good. Maintaining a high raw (80%+) diet and feeling good. Experiencing a bit of physical detoxing thru the largest organ -- skin -- in the form of small bumps on upper arms and pimples on chest (heart chakra). Also experiencing a bit of emotional detoxing as well...very weepy today. Interesting correlation with the pimples over the heart chakra, eh?

Noticed you blogged about detoxing this morning as well. Kudos to you on maintaining your goal of 100% during the challenge!

Talk about camera shy!! I was so camera shy I couldn't even be in front of one that just takes pictures. I just froze and looked stupid. Try making a video. You will get over it. I did. :) I still feel weird in front of a regular camera but I am very comfortable in front of a video camera now.

well to be quite honest, i just joined today :/ i've been thinking about going raw for awhile now, but a friend just told me about the challenge today, so i joined up. i'm probably going to do HIGH raw because i'm traveling at the moment and it's SO difficult to start something like this when you're not living at home with your own kitchen. but then when i'm home i'll see where i'm at and try to go all the way.
right now i'm just trying to figure out where to start! i don't have any cookbooks or anything.
