How am I doing raw? Up and down, low on funds right now so buying extra fresh stuff just for me is difficult - but I am looking to the summer when my garden will hopefully be burgeoning under the weight of home grown produce!
Good luck with that job interview - you may have already been to it! Hope it goes/went well.
and be honest with yourself as to what your body and mind and emotions can handle with rawness.
we're not just a body.
thank goodness.
One of my dogs, we got as a puppy, and he had constant gas with every kind of high-quality kibble. When we switched to raw, that went away. Then we fed raw, ground poultry and veggies for a few years and he did quite well, but did have a few episodes of minor pancreatitis. Since we have switched to prey model about 2-1/2 yrs. ago and feed more red meat (what wolves/dogs are designed for), more grass-fed meat (instead of grain-fed), and no veggies, he has not had any pancreatitis issues. Also, since I eliminated veggies, his chronic yeasty ears he had for 5 yrs. finally cleared up. Carnivores can have trouble digesting carbs/veggies/grains.
My other dog we got from the shelter about a year ago, and he had dandruff, his coat did not feel good, he had worms, and he slept the first 2 wks. we had him. He transitioned to raw very well, dances for his food, has a beautiful, soft coat, great energy, and no health issues. I can't say that is all due to raw, but I believe it is the healthiest thing for dogs and cats.

The rawcat list is the sister list to the 11,000+ member rawfeeding list which I have been very active on, but rawfeeding is more dog heavy. Rawcat is more about prey model (feeding as close to nature as possible) and I think the other one takes a bit more work and involves more ground foods and maybe supplements, but it is by a vet (haven't looked at it in awhile, tho). Gives you a couple options and places to start. Rawcat will have a lot of transition tips and you can ask questions.
Good luck.
Thanks again, & have a wonderful day!!!
