I am doing pretty good with the challenge. My hardest challenge is staying away from cashew Larabars. I just try to keep in mind that they aren't good for me and it's up to me to let them go. That's about it. :-)
hey! yeah dorm life is tough when it comes to staying raw... i'd love to see pictures when you have it all put together! where do you go to school? what year are you? i'm in ohio! brrrrr..
hey! No, but my roommate Lindsay is there all the time and apparently really chill with the owner. Next time you're goin, let me know and I can make sure she's there too! She's a seasoned veteran and really open to talking to people about raw food, but also not so in-your-face about it that she's annoying, like some healthfoodies I know :) How's school?
we're hoping to have one late september/early october. We are stil in the moving process, cleaning and such, so once we get settled we'll definitely send the word out. There seems to be a lot of interest a-brewing...!
Hi Natalie, thanks for accepting my friend request and visiting my page. My transition is going good. Wednesday was a challenging day in that I was really tempted by pizza. The smell of had me kinda messed up which was wierd b/c I haven't had pizza, or cheese since June, so go figure? Luckily I was able to tame that craving by making so scrumptious nori rolls stuffed with avocado, sprouts, red onion, tomato, cabbage, carrots, collards, apple and a little amino acids and apple cider vinegar. YUM! Thanks girlie. be and do well.
Hey, I saw you're moving to George Washington Univ? If so, we should talk! My roommate and I are both raw and always looking to expand our circle, and will be having big citywide potlucks and such very soon... Let me know!
I haven't actually had a chance to make the seaweed salad yet--I'm out of a few of the ingredients, so hopefully this weekend. I was so excited about having the wakame that I did improvise something, though: wakame with cucumber, garlic, and sesame seed oil. Not great, but edible--my boys enjoyed it.
I'm currently in the middle of back-to-school and all the expenses that come with that [oh, joy], but I'll be sure to let you know how the salad comes out once I actually have the proper ingredients to prepare it.
I am a lonely vegan on the road to raw veganism and am looking to jump into the raw community a bit more. I love everything that a raw life has to offer, and Raw Fu seems to be a great resource for those who take this lifestyle seriously and want to expand their horizons.

I hope you are fairing well. Hang in there.
