As the Raw Food World turns! Starting my episodes again soon! but until then.......
Okay I have not posted anything in quite a long time, so I thought I would start again. I find so much joy in interacting with my RAW family and I missed it. I am going to do a much longer post a little later today about everything going on but before I do that, I have gotten a few requests for some of the recipes from my photos that I posted. AS THE RAW WORLD TURNS- Episode Three (More than an overcomer-what I experienced)
Friday, I had an interesting day. Let me set the scene for you........It was my five year old daughters birthday. My husband had made reservations for a place that is along the lines of Chucky Cheese but with more activities for the kids (climbing, slides, nets, obstacle courses, etc....). "AS THE RAW WORLD TURNS" Episode 2
Today I took a giant swallow of courage and bought my juicer to work with me. Now keep in mind that this is a little "Lady Juiceman" juicer which is one of the loudest ones on the market, I proudly carried my veggies in to the breakroom with me as I smiled at all the curious bystanders.I started to cut up my vegetables while people looked as though they were waiting on tickets to a popular rock concert as they each asked me one by one their questions. My Best Life yet!!! "AS THE RAW WORLD TURNS"
Okay everyone, I am new to the RAW lifestyle and I have really been thinking about doing it for quite some time (a little over a year now). As of Friday I made 100 days vegan, now I am a one week RAW vegan. I will say this......It is like a whole new world has opened up to me. Chk this out there are quite few raw groups that is on meetupcom that does potlucks and I think this is would be sooo fun but I'm so darn shy plus I'm not that great with raw recipes but is something that u would like to go to with me?

- Oh Twinkier....I am looking forward to eating again......this time I will be 'good' I promise. I went on a weekend retreat with my women's chorus (100 + fabulous women and 1 awesome director) and got off 100%, then came home to a Superbowl party with homemade banana cream pie.....I could have said no. I could have. I did not. So this week has been not where I want to be but I know I will get back there....and maybe I created just the scenario to help me do so...who knows. Kids have the flu, now I do too. When I can eat again, it will be raw. So.....yeah.....got sucked into a downdraft, but coming out of it.
How are you doing? And yay! a woman in the chorus also does raw. So great to finally know someone locally that I see on a regular basis who is in to it. Have someone to talk with about it and even go to meetups...though they mostly happen on Thursday evenings which is sacred choral rehearsal night. Can't skip that for much less than a visit from the president (and he has been at our rehearsals several times and even came on retreat with us (cardboard standup...) so funny seeing all these people taking their picture with him...he even participated in our talent show.
