I've been working on transitioning to a raw vegan diet for a year or so now, off and on. I'm also a 2x cancer survivor/thriver. I'm interested in gaining some support from other raw fooders along my raw vegan healing journey.
I've watched all of your video's and wished that I had joined in at the beginning. However, I was finishing up chemo for the 2nd time and I wasn't quite able to go back to all raw foods at that point. I'm ready now and have been trying to get back on track for about 2 months. I struggle with lack of energy and this makes raw vegan even more challenging with all the food prep.
I look forward to joining your community and your next raw food challenge.

Hello, Nia! Finally, time to catch up...& my wrists are starting to feel better so I can type with much less pain...
I love Ontario, took a bus all the way to Pickle lake once, want to drive there one day with my daughter, we're planning a trip across Canada & back through the US, for maybe 2 months, as a homeschooling adventure! (One day, when I'm driving again!)
The anniversary of my diagnosis/healing is fast aproaching, so the awesomeness of it is hitting me all over again, God is soooooo amazing!
Yes, i do try to juice, but my juicer's on it's last legs, so I do smoothies almost daily, when I'm on top of things...not lately, though, with my sewing marathon! i find the juicing helps more with healing/detox, the smoothies nourish/satisfy/prevent cravings!
Nice to see your comments around RawFu...I hope to begin participating again, still have lotsa sewing to do, but will soon have wenough bags made to start up my Etsy site!
Do you have a camera? It's so nice to be able to put a face to a name, I hope you'll be able to post a picture soon! You can also start a blog here, I find that really has helped me be more accountable, as well as get out & see more clearly the things coming up as I go thru these changes...
...Have a really wonderful Sunday!
Gotta sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep now!
Hi, Nia~
Welcome to RawFu, & I'm glad you're able to join us now!
Sounds like you've been on an amazing healing journey so far, & I know you'll be really blessed here, & there are others here going through similar challenges, like Bitt, who's ben having a lot of fatigue, & there are other cancer survivors, as well, (including me, but in a different way...I was healed miraculously, through prayer, of inflammatory breast cancer (the really rare, aggresive kind) last November...I'm also seeking to get free of numerous other health challenges...)
I know that the recipes & food prep can take a lot out of you, it's hindered me in the past, too, (due to my FM & fatigue) but keeping it simple works great, too, & though it can get a wee bit boring, it's still incredibly healing!
I look forward to getting to know you better, just jump on in anywhere, & feel free to revive any old topics you're interested in, just go to the bottom of the main page, of today's topics, & click on "veiw all", it'll take you to a whole page of all the things we've discussed here sinse RawFu began...cancer has been covered numerous times~
