Thanks ladies.
Alicia- I can't believe you did the 'stop n' go' method with a bulldog! You must have the patience of a saint! :)
Rawker-chic - I tired a Haltie (Halty?) with her and unfortunately, she was absolutely terrified of it. I don't have...
Hello, my fellow Canadian!
How's your raw journey goin' so far?
Love your picture, we used to make 'glasses' like that as kids, singing "At the Quarter (Corner?) Master Store" "My eyes are dim, I cannot see, I have not brought my specs with me..." You just reminded me of a long-forgotten memory! Thanks!
& thanks for the friend invite!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better, & following your raw journey!

I think I am going to be updating again soon here. I have been totally off the raw food wagon and need to get back on. This time with exercise and I think I am going to try to just do green smoothies, fresh fruit and a limited amount of fats to see how that goes. I feel like crap right now and need to get my act together again!!!
You are right. Ani's books are FABULOUS!!! She makes things that aren't so extremely complicated that it makes you just say WTF?!?! Can't wait to see/hear how the sunflower bread turns out. The prep time for dehydrating stuff is crazy, cuz once you soak and mix everything you still gotta wait for it to dry for 1 or 2 days!
Hope your stuff turns out great. Talk to you soon. Take care! :)
Hey Paige! The recipe for flax crackers I was using was basically 4 cups of tomatoes, 1/2 an onion, some bell pepper, salt, blended up in the vitamix (or whatever blender) and then 1 cup of flax seeds soaked in 2 cups of water for 8 hours. Then you just stir the soaked flax seeds and the soak water (it should just be a gelatinous goop) into the blended veggies. Then add in like 1.5 cups of ground flax seeds and spread out like 2 cups on each sheet. You can play with the recipe that is just a basic guideline. Flax crackers are pretty hard to screw up. I know the last batch I made I put in 2x the amount of flax seeds and not as much blended veggies and they turned out good, just thinner and crispier than when you have more blended veggie matter in the recipe. I didn't put down parchment, just used the nonstick sheets that came with it.
I have a hard time finding coconuts too. Do you have a superstore in winnipeg?? They sometimes have young coconuts. Otherwise I suggest calling some of your chinese supermarkets, they would probably have some. :) Good luck with the coconut quest!!!
I'm doing alright. Starting back on the as close to 100% raw as I can get tomorrow. I feel like crap with cooked food in my diet. BLECH!
Hi Paige...
Im doing great thanks! I have suprised myself even ! I have to say that my quirks have seriously enabled me to do this. I have a vision board, a goal plan, a raw food journal to document everything, also a pre-written statement that I read every day, well lol, its more than a statement lol, its a few pages, plan, outcome etc, REALLY HELPS!!!! I find that if I take this road, then goals are easier to reach, Im a huge procrastinator so this takes my sub-concious and kinda takes control ! So my plan is 30 days to start completly raw, I will keep you posted !
