Finding Physical Healing Through Emotional Peace

Hi, all. This blog can also be seen at: http://rawvolutionaryhealing.blogspot.com

As I travel down my personal healing road, I keep finding that much of my healing depends on my emotional state. I can see this very clearly because my bloodsugars are higher and my general health is worse on those days when I'm feeling stressed, angry or otherwise uncontent. I also know that much of my cravings and desires to feed my mouth when my stomach is… Continue

Pamela, I just wanted to say hi. I am from Ft. Wayne and it is rare to find many Indiana Raw foodists.... So nice to see we have a raw naturopath to boot! That is wonderful!

Hi Pamela,

thanks for responding to my question. it's nice to have a raw naturopath aboard...I just wish you were in Vancouver....I am part of the raw community here . I know of a couple of people that are looking for a raw naturopath...

I used to take fenugreek, gynmenna sylvestre, chromium and cinnamon when I had to bring down my sugar levels... that ended up working really well until a certain point......then, all that combined with the metformin and the green juices, really brought down my sugar levels for a long time... i think it was too much....the best approach is probably doing most of it through diet and only using herbs sparingly as you need it... but, it helps to know when you need to cut back on them.

raw is great...it's nice to know that you can only get better and better looking in it too...there are some people here on this site that really look so vibrant now..I kind of wish people mosted more before and afters because I like looking at them : )

see you

Hi,

I read that you are a naturopath that has beenhelping diabetics to reverse their illness.
I need some help because since I took a tiny but of metformin, I have been going really low on my sugar levels ( even though I have stopped taking it)...what should I eat to normalize my sugar levels ? can this be done raw ?

If you take bittermelon juice and freese it into ice cubes, how much do you need to take to lower your sugar levels safely ? Gybmena sylvestre, along with fenugreek and cinnamon (as you probably know) also helps to lower sugars...but what elevates it ? or balances it naturally ?

It's nice to know that there is a naturopath going raw too. before this happened, I maintained healthy sugar levels for one year going raw....I don't know if you tried juicing about 2 litres per day og greens with fruit - that helped me a lot.

take care

Hi! Oh, thank you for your kindness :) We hardly consider ourselves experts at this point, but we do enjoy sharing what we have learned thus far.

I was an avid sunbather growing up in Southern California. I know some sun us very healthy, but I baked sometimes up to 8 hours a day or more! I'm hoping that I can regain some elasticity in my skin. Now I just spend 30 minutes or so in direct sunlight. I have read with eating raw that you can build up to much longer periods without sun damage as the nutrients in the raw food protect the skin.

So are you giving up fruit permanently? That is a scary thought for me :( I know there is much debate over fruit and Candida. The 80/10/10 people claim you can cure Candida with their protocol. Hannah did the saliva test and said her saliva floated. She said that you recommended spitting in a glass of water then checking it in the AM. She tested according to your directions. Awhile back I read to spit in a glass of water and check it in 20 minutes. With that particular method, I tested positive for Canadida :/

Sure, we can get together for tea. Perhaps we could meet halfway?

We would love to learn your journey to raw story.

Grace and peace,

Viv

Hi Pamela,

Your skin looks wonderful! Do you have any particular advice/not so secret beauty tips? I know the raw lifestyle is certainly the main contributor. Is there somethings special in your diet that you believe helps the most? I so want to tighten up my loose skin.

Hannah and I really enjoyed the meet-up. I'm sorry if we were a bit overzealous! We were so excited to be there! Could you tell? Lol!
We'll try and be a bit more restrained the next time. Hannah jokingly blamed the Kombucha for making us "drunk!"

See you soon,

Viv

Hi Pamela,

Raw Union was our first raw event. It was a thrilling experience! We just got home on Tuesday and have yet to discuss our future raw adventures, but we would love to attend other events. We are still sharing our recent experience with anyone who will lend us an ear!

My daughter Hannah was fortunate enough to spend most of her time at Raw Union in the kitchen with the raw chef's Solla Eiriks from Iceland, Marie ? and Jeanette ? from France, Sergei ? from Russia and Norm ? from Australia. She had the time of her life!

We would love to hear you speak at an event. And I'm assuming that you will speak with us at the local gathering as well, lol! What specifically to you speak on? There is so much to know and learn.

I'm so glad you're here in Indy!

Blessings,

Viv

Hi Again,

We live in Hamilton County. My daughter and I would love to be a part of your raw food gatherings! Yes, please tell me more!

Hannah and I just got back from Raw Union and had so much fun spending time with other raw foodists. We were wondering how we might find some raw foodists in Indy to extend our experience of sharing in this lifestyle.

Thank you so much,

Viv
