Hi SoloRunner! Thanks for your response. And thanks for the great links. I'm definitely check them out. :-)
Solo Runner said:Hi Stephanie,
Nice to meet you. Congratulations on your 25th day and getting out there and running. I love to hear from ...
No, I'm not. It has been a consideration though, just never did it. Are you? Do you like it? Racewalker Judy Heller does walks through Portland Fit, I think. She trained my team the last couple years. She is awesome. Are you doing Hippie Chick? Maybe we could fit in lunch, or a early dinner at B. Lotus? I'd be game to go for a run sometime too. I leave May 14 for France for two weeks, so let's try for before then. How about next week? I am free for lunch most days, except Wednesday. Dinner would work on Wednesday, or Friday. Let me know!
Hi! I hear you are the new organizer for Portland Raw Meetup. I'm sure you're going to do a wonderful job! Right now I am swamped, so I probably will have to take a rain check on lunch or whatever.....sorry.
No, but thank you! The SF Nike Woman is really great, plus make sure you visit the raw restaurants, and the farmers market down on the embarcadero, there are lots of raw booths there too. Thanks again for the invite. I am going to France in May for two weeks, and then to Mexico around Thanksgiving, so I am trying not to make any more travel plans. While fun, it gets to be too much, ya know? I would love to meet up with you for lunch or dinner or whatever sometime.
Hi There - Happy New Year. I actually haven't been running the past two months. Fortunately, I ended my running 'season' with no injuries, but I still wanted a couple of winter months off - I've been in Maine and Mexico a lot, one of which is too hot for me for running and the other too cold! Hope you have a great year - Matthew
Happy New Year to you! How did you spend your Christmas/New Year's and was it easy for you to stay raw during the month of Nov/Dec and the holidays? Between the usual holiday fare, cookie bakes, dinners out, parties, and the kids being home for 3 + weeks due to snow (which was fun)and then winter break, my raw ways got a bit out of wack. We just got back from our cabin where we snowmobiled and played in endless feet of snow...was so fun, but I ate things I haven't in a long while, and now am ready to get back on track! Yay for rawfu! I am going to try to make it to a portland raw food group meetup/potluck soon and would also LOVE to get together with you for a raw meal. I need to get my schedule figured out and will get back to you. I'd love to hear how things are with you. BTW, did I tell you I am doing the Hippie Chick Half? Any chance you are too? I hurt my knee (my 90 lb lab ran into it really hard, pushing it backwards from the front and I have been out of commission for the second half of December til now, which is making me CRAZY. Strange how not getting my running/workout time in really messes with my eating, and general well being. Talk to you soon :)
