Nice transformation!
October 19
I had severe eczema on my face, which right under my eyes and on my nose would have dry skin, then the dry skin would have to be constantly pealed off or it would clog my pores. I started having hormonal problems which contributed to the acne on m...

Why Do You Want to Join Raw Fu?
I want to join raw fu so that i can meet others with the same passion for health.
Hey all!
I'm Tarah, I`ve been a raw foodist for about 17 months now, with lots of ups and downs!
So, here's a bit about myself:
I'm first and foremost an artist. I have an insatiable love of travelling, and i can pretty much adapt to any situation. I have an obsession with fitness and raw food nutrition. I'm a very radical environmentalist, and enjoy spending my time with other devoted vegan radicals. My true passion in life comes from rebuilding nature and saving animals.
Other than my radical views on animal rights, i'm very easy going. I tend avoid stressing over anything, and I make a point of laughing often. I love adventure, and like to live my life not knowing what's around the next corner.
:)

I've lost 22 lbs since going vegan and then 100% raw, and i feel fantastic!

I'm getting sick here too. It must be something about college. Everyone around me is sneezing or coughing or has a runny nose. It sucks! I hate having a cough, or sneezing and feeling blegh. I hope you get well soon!

I'm really glad your bf is going with you to Live! For my birthday, I asked to go to Pure Food and Wine in NYC. We'll see if I actually make it there. LoL. I'm sure you and he will have a great time. I hope he likes it :]

I'm real excited about the rock climbing. And btw, your major sounds so friggin' awesome! I'm not sure if any college's around here offer anything like it... I am creating my own major though. I decided that I do want to pursue Religious Studies, and my old professor is helping me do it. Small victory there, I think.

I already notice that finding good produce now is getting difficult. Like, on campus, we used to have a produce booth. Now all that's there are red delicious/granny smith appes and hard oranges. Neither of which I like, or would want. Soo.. I guess I am off to Wegman's more often. Which kinda sucks :/

And now, me and my BF are fighting. Idk what's going to happen. We are nearing the two year mark, and it seems like we are falling apart. It sucks. I just feel so damn worn down. I can't imagine not having him, but when I look at all that is wrong with us, I wonder how we are even together. It's weird. Ugh.

I have to go home this weekend. I am not at all looking forward to it, LoL. I love it here at school. I really want to stay here during the summer. Taking classes will be a good excuse, right? I mean, if I don't stay here over the summer and taje a few courses, I won't graduate on time. Which I will not stand for.. Although I am beginning to think about taking an extra year to finish up. I might have too..

How is raw going for you? I am doing better. I think about meat now, and I am ready to barf. LoL. There is a book, "What to Eat" by somthing Nestle - it is about the realities of commercial food, etc. It's great. It talks all about meat, dairy, produce - everything. You would love it.

Do fill me in on all that's going on. Oh, and if you are interested in starting yoga, get a couple DVD's. I would recommend Rodney Yee's stuff, as well as Seane Corne. Def do it - it's cheaper than a class, but you are still getting professional direction.

Talk to you soooooooooon! <3Andy

For me, grocery shopping is a stress relief. Just walking through the aisles of fresh fruit and veggies... It is heaven. And then going and looking at the tea, and smoothies/juices... I absolutely love it. It makes me feel so much better. it is like re-motivation, you know??

And I absolutely lovelovelove Yoga. I mean, there gets a certain time where I am like, "ugh, I DO NOT want to do this." But it's good that I teach it, so it kind of forces me too LoL. I really do encourage you to get into it. I mean, it is SO good for you, and I just feel 10x better after a good practice. And there is a following of yoga for everyone. I mean, if you don't like fast paced sweaty, then you have focus and breath oriented versions. It is just amazing. Go to YogaJournal.com and they have a lot of resources for you.

I am way excited for the online raw festival that Bunny has posted all over the site. I registered for it. Like, since I can't travel all over right now, this is perfect. I have a feeling I'm going to be gushing about it as it gets closer. Did you sign up??

Oh, speaking of festivals. This weekend, there is a Pagan Pride Day festie close to me. I am sososo excited to that. Like, when I found out, I nearly jumped out of my seat. Kind of sad that none of my friends want to go with me. BF does, but his computer died, and the only day his fam can come and help is saturday. So we'll see. Either way, I want to go. I mean, it feels right. I jsut bubble when I think of it, you know??
But like I said before, I just cannot tell my fam about it. That makes me sad, but what are you going to do? It feels right for me, so I'm going to go with it. And my friends are pretty cool with it, soo...

At the end of Oct, my staff and I are going rock climbing as a team-building activity. I am stoked. Like... whoa. I've always wanted to climb. I might make it a regular thing, you know? I'll def let you know how it goes. Have you every went rock climbing???

I'm kind of sad the weather is chaning. I love the summer; there is so much more food, so many more places to go and explore... I am making a point to go to more things this year. But still. Missing the outdoors like I had in the summer. You know??

How is stuff for you??

Man. Going to the same school would be GREAT. We'll have ot see when the other has breaks, etc. Maybe we could go to the same festie or something.
I'm glad you're way happy with your classes. I do enjoy mine. But I wonder what I really want to do with them. Do I really want to go and write and do that for th rest of my life? I wish I could major in religious studies; We only have it as a minor, though. I was thinking about philosophy. But I have the feeling my family would kill me. I just don't think I want th hastle of getting up and being stressed 24/7, you know? But if I keep changing my mind, I wont graduate on time. LoL. Maybe I'll minor in journalism? I just don't know! LoL

My shopping trips are amazing. I find new and better stuff each time. Maybe I'll get some pickles, too. They are so good! I do want to buy organic foods too.. They are just so expensive. I accidentally got a pint of organic strawberries, and man oh man, they are so good! I think it is worth it.

I do teach yoga here on campus. I want to get certified over the summer, or even over winter break. I might take some intense classes over winter break, and then work on getting certified here over the summer. I plan on staying on campus and taking a few classes, and generally not going home, LoL, so we'll see how I can make it work.
As for the meditation group, it's really cool. It's lead by one of the prof's here, and meets once a week. I'll probably stick with it.

There isn't really much going on here. Just a general confusion about what I really want to do or study. And a lot of work.

Do you know of any raw festies coming up? Bc I totally want to go to one. I'm thinking about going to the raw spirit fest next year, if I can figure out when it is. Is there anything around you?
