Right on. You go girl. Everyone has their own consideration for wearing makeup and I feel its too sweeping a generalization and judgment of character to suggest makeup is a consumer-driven campaign of fear and insecurity to impress the opposite se...

Makeup is not always necessarily conforming to the ridicuolous views of society. I cannot leave the house without makeup. And i'm not talking about loading on eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush...etc. I have severe acne and raw food has not helped in the ...

Hey Winona,

I hope you don't leave because of the thread you posted.

Once upon a time, everyone on this site was against what i said on a few topics... i was the only person on there who had certain viewpoint. I left rawfu for a little while, but then realized that it was stupid to leave just because people didn't agree with me. I still post now but i try to keep it easy and not argue with everyone like i want to, lol... I mostly stay on the 80/10/10 board.

Anyways i love your cosmetics post and we think very much a like!

Congratulations! Your thread is attracting lots of women to discuss how they feel about one of the biggest visible taboos of our society! I feel utterly honoured by the fact that it was me who influenced it. Honestly, I would have never thought that it could be such a topic which would make lots of people to feel inclined to express their feelings upon. I could learn so much from the replies in such a short time, which could have never been possible without the help of the internet and a community like this - not to mention the creator herself! Thank you very much once again - and let me express my wish to see more open minded, critical, straight, honest people like you in my life! (I hope I didn't mess it up, English is not my mother tongue!)

Hey Winona!

I wanted to share a funny story with you. A few years ago, I was living in North Carolina and it was one of those drop-dead-gorgeous sunny autumn days that just blows your mind. I was out for a walk and marvelling at the day, when I came across a man who was also enjoying the day... with his leaf blower. I HATE LEAF BLOWERS. I think they should be crammed up the a*# of everyone fool enough to own one, unless you've got a huge property and a gravel driveway and a really overblown leaf-free aesthetic, in which case there are other opinions I have of you that go beyond my opinions of leaf blowers. But this guy just had a short little driveway, only like half a tree in his yard, nowhere near enough leaves to justify his ruining my walk with his noise and waste and pollution. So I had on my biggest smile and he smiled and said hello, and I smiled and said, "How can you justify using that?" he turned the blower off and said, "Excuse me?" and I kept smiling and said, "How can you justify using that leaf blower?" and started on my explanation of why I knew he shouldn't be using it. He stopped smiling, grunted at me, turned his back, turned the thing back on, and blew leaves at me. I was appalled because, in my mind, I was being so polite and inquiring and wanting to share what he needed to know, and in his mind, obviously, I was just another one of those obnoxious hippie chicks out to ruin his quiet Republican life.

So I just wanted to share that with you because there have been so many times, too many to count, where I have been the one on that side of the discussion, coming from that place that just feels so good, so excited, and then I get ahead of myself and instead of getting my point across, I say it all wrong and piss people off. I'm learning - barely - to recognize when I'm getting there, and then there's nothing to do but let the Homer out "D'oh!"

And so I also wanted to apologize to you for my reply being harsh - it was one of those moments when I got to see one of my own weaknesses being mirrored, and what is it about those weakness mirrors that always magnifies them? I got to see it, and instead of just taking it in for myself, I actually did the same thing back. Ain't life fun?

I hope you're having a beautiful day! Watch out for leaf blowers and chicks from the MAC counter!

xo

How it the exercing going? I was more pumped up but slowed down. Its hard to fit it in everyday and I dont work. I dont know what I do to keep so busy?? Maybe its still time consuming to have raw meals ?? always having to make sure I have crackers and flat breads. It has been getting easier. OH I just thought about it IT gets dark at 7pm.. there is less time for outdoor activities!! I definatley need to stay challenged !!

Hi Winona, Just wanted to drop you a note to say I could never in a zillion years live from someone else's paycheck or be accountable to anyone else for how I spend my money. On other hand, as a homeschooler, I happen to know quite a few stay at home mothers, and they all seem to enjoy it, and truthfully, I think the kids are better off when one parent is home, at least when they're young.

It's funny you should mention colonics. I know that is definitely a missing ingredient at the moment. Havent tried any parasite cleanses yet. Sounds interesting though....

I'm not doing enough exercise for sure. I'm going to a Bikram class tonight, but I'm definitely neglecting the cardio exercising.
