It's taken me two years to go raw. On off on off on off. Man. But now my youngest is a little over two and finally weaned and I'm no longer ruled by raging nursing or pregnancy hunger. And now, NOW raw seems to be sticking. The last time I picked myself up from falling off was right around the start of the latest 100 day challenge. I didn't pay too much attention to it and somehow that worked. At this point, I'm pretty well raw. I'm still drinking a tiny juice glass of coffee every morning because I fear the headaches. So that I'm weaning off slowly. But the rest of it. I get the occasional bits of agave (not really raw, right?) and whatever else, but eh. Raw. Good enough for me.

To coffee. That fucking monkey, I can't get it off my back. I can't remember when I started drinking it but it was love at first sip, no doubt. I love the bitter and the hot and the steam rising to my face. Dammit I love it. I love it but this time around with raw, I'd decided to stop. To cut back slowly. Free! I'm free!
I'm feeling pretty confident here, at the start of summer with the surplus of warm weather and fresh fruit, that I'm free of SAD. I hesitate to say that out loud because as the mother of two young kids, I know that saying it out loud is tempting fate and once you open your mouth, the kids regress and you're back to not sleeping through the night. But I'm saying it anyway. I'm free.

Guess what?!?
I fell off the wagon. Then I got back on. Then I fell off again. Then I got back on so I could do a swan dive off the fucker.
It's been fun. There've been a bunch of holidays, a few birthdays (mine and my mother's), a layoff (the husband's) and a visiting mother and brother-in-law. My kids are about to hit ages two and four. They are both barnacles 80% of the time and I spend a good hour at least every morning around 5 lying awake, being mauled while they jockey for space near me in bed. I love… Continue

Would like to sleep for a living
MAN all I want to do is sleep. Niclas has been humoring me this weekend and yesterday I slept till nearly 11. Eleven! !!! Today I got up at 9:30. I feel guilty about this but he does get to nap with Linnea so it's not like he's missing out on sleep. But still. All this sleeping. What's up with it? I vaguely remember what PMS feels like and this feels like that. I hope. I hope because otherwise I'm lost in a sea of extremely weird dreams with a puffy face and bloated stomach.

Also - loved the lime in mango with ginger recipe. Later I added lemon to my tomato juice combo and boy did it make a difference. Think I like veggie juices better so far. Got a total sugar rush from my am green drink! Off to the local farmer's market...
Oh and I'm not even attempting to deal with raw dinners yet!
