You look and sound great BunBun, I want to hear all about this, hopefully while it's fresh. "I am powerless over sugar..." (and my life is unmanageable by me. ...?) That's a powerful statement. ;) love, cindy

A good salad starts with your freshest possible lettuce and vibrant veggies -- grated sliced and chopped. Here I have added sliced avocado and sprouted spicy seeds. (seeds are goraw.com) I toss in olive oil and apple cider vinegar, sea salt and ...

Thanks Dan, so true. Pure foods and juices won't make the body trap in fats. Inspiring and caused me to rethink some of what I'm still taking in. I have still a lining of cellulite and I often drink bottled fruit juices and drink coffee.

Why Do You Want to Join Raw Fu?
I want to get back to raw and do the 100 day challenge.

I'm concerned about elitism and how to end racism and classism. I'm concerned that those who want to juice feast of go raw may not have resources available to them to do so.

This wrong needs to be righted and I hope to be a part of righting that.

I put down I'm an "Old Pro" when it comes to being raw, simply because I do have so much history with it and know how to prepare foods. I've also had periods of years where I was all raw.

But, that has been a while ago. I've always eaten big salads and made vegan dressings. I've often made smoothies as breakfast. I've often stopped eating at dusk to give my system brief fasts and used water as a healing power on an empty stomach.

But (again, but) I still haven't alkalinized my system completely. I still--despite whole series of deep colon cleanses a la Bernard Jensen protocols--still have toxic pockets in my colon and my liver and gallbladder are riddled with gravel and stones. This causes me emotional imbalance and pain and gets in the way of the optimal health I realize I can enjoy.

With groups like Raw Fu springing up online, and more and more folks documenting their struggle/victory with eating raw, juice feasting, etc, I have more support than ever and the health I want is within my reach.

I don't have to find a retreat center to run to, hide to, drop out of my life or something inorder to detox and get healthy.

I'm closer than I realize probably because of all the foundation I've already laid through series of gallbladder flushes, parasite herbal cleanses, colonics and colon cleanses, juice fasting, Master cleanse, salad only protocols etc etc. Plus I work out regularly.

BUT :-) I do want to keep improving my level of physical fitness! And I DO want to keep evolving in my personal food choices.

I'm concerned about elitism and how to end racism and classism. I'm concerned that those who want to juice feast of go raw may not have resources available to them to do so.

This wrong needs to be righted and I hope to be a part of righting that.

Setting Goals Brainstorming Phase

Hi, I'm a little behind what with all the haps around here. But not so much that I can't catch up!

I've got my lists of Triumphs and Bombs and I brainstormed four areas of goals in: relationships, work, spiritual practice and body.

I also have been thinking about where I'm going next in my raw foods journey.

At the moment, I need to get out in the sun for a few minutes and sunbathe! ;) xxoo

Today "day one" of new habits

Ended up having two green smoothies and then for dinner I'd run out of bananas and had moderate helping of what the kids were having.

Yes, it sat there in my stomach and I was very disappointed. But I really did not have the money to step foot into a store today, so on the other hand, I really did have a fantastic day one of my new life today.

a) I had a fresh homemade green smoothie for breakfast
b) I had a long walk and an hour of swimming laps with my daughter.
c) I got my records books all… Continue

Cindy

right now juice feast/fast

I was overeating and the winter blues combined with lack of exercise after quitting HydroxyCut, coffee and other so-called energy drinks had me down.

I'm fasting so I'm doing better for now.

I will eat normally one day at a time right?

So this is day 14. Yesterday was the only day that I modified the fast by having a green smoothie and one apple. I pretty much consider myself back in regular fasting mode today with apple juice and fresh green juice.

I want to be ready ! oops gotta go!

That is impressive! Can't quite picture it. My husband has figured out the best way for him to use the elliptical is to put on an action film.

That's so funny, I was clueless, but homeschooling tends to lead to new and interesting things. She's giving a lecture near here by complete chance in a couple of weeks so I may go and see her speak.

Hey Cindy! I just read your page and was reminded by your comments of a book I just finished, which I'm amazed isn't more well known, called Angela Davis: An Autobiography. It was written in 1974 and is her life up to that point which is stunning. I'd never heard of her! You can look her up online but you might enjoy it, I got it from the library.
