No, I'm not in Houston. I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling in the near future, so I wanted to be a memeber of all the raw meetups to find out when there are going to be gatherings--so I can stop by and meet everyone if I'm in the neighborhood! :-)

I will not be able to go because of cost but oh well just to be a qualifier means alot to me. I smoked and drank for 10 years. I never thought I would be able to run again. Just to let you know there are all shapes and sizes that run and walk in the Houston event. When I trained for my first marathon I could hardly run a lap around the track. You have to jog slowly until you get tired and walk until you feal rested enough to jog again. Soon you will find yourself jogging for a full 20 minuutes and won't even realize it. You are awesome! I wish my mom would do it. I tried talking to her. She just can't seem to get out of rut. I won't give up on her though. Good luck to ya and thanks for adding me. If there is anything I can help you with let me know. Oh ,I love your weight scale, That is so cool with surfer dood!LOL

I still haven’t figured out how to put on pictures myself yet! I am not too bright when it comes to the computer! I am learning though. I went to my first chat room on this site! I’m going to try and get a picture of my kids on here one day soon. I’m sorry I did not get back to you on the Greek food. We have company right now and I haven’t been keeping up as much as I would like to. I so enjoy this site. I eat pretty simple here on raw. The Greek food that I really like all includes meat and there is just no way to duplicate that one! We go out to eat often here and I have been having nothing more than a Greek salad without the feta. I do feel blessed to live in this country with the great fruits and vegetables, they are all very seasonal and that does pose a challenge at times. I know there is a cook book out called something like the Raw Greek. I plan to buy it when I go to the States next week. Once I have it in my hands I will share anything that is really yummy!
