raw recipe video ... watermelon tomato gazpacho
recipe:
ingredients
1/2 watermelon
2 tomatoes
1 cucumber
1 onion
3 scallions
2 jalapenos
1 zucchini (optional, i like it better without)
1 lime (i used a lemon, but it's better with lime)
salt
pepper
cube 1/4 of the watermelon and puree in blender
chop 1 tomato and add to blender and puree
dice the other 1/4 watermelon, chop remaining tomato and the cucumber
finely chop the onion, scallions, jalepenos and zucchini
put all in large bowl
add 1 1/2 tsp sea salt & 1/2 tsp pepper
pour watermelon-tomato puree over and stir ...

Zucchini Hummus w/ Cucumbers ~ rawon10.blogspot.com
makes two servings ~ $1.71 per serving
ingredients
1/4 cup tahini ($1.38)
1 medium zucchini, cubed ($.59)
1 small onion, coarsely chopped ($.10)
1 tbsp olive oil ($.05)
2 cloves garlic, pressed ($.05)
juice of 1/2 lemon ($.25)
1 tsp curry powder ($.10)
1 tsp paprika ($.05)
3/4 tsp salt

A Home For Louie

The weather is keeping me inside today when all I want to do is be outside. I braved it this morning but good thing I can't spend all day playing outdoors as I need to work. I wish someone would explan it to the puppers. She is staring at me with that "Butwhy can't we go walkwalkwalk all day?" I feel guilty :o)
As for raw ... doing very well, thanks! I admit to missing the goodies from the summer's garden though ::sigh:: on the flip side, I'm over run with kale! ::slurp:: a favorite ::yum:: Now if I could just have fresh tomatoes and winter kale in a salad together it would be heavenly.
