I have been doing some research on food dehydrators, and came to the realization that I don't know if I simply want a nine tray Excalibur Food Dehydrator. I've had them, but since we have been on…

I feel as if today and yesterday were amazing days, every day I spend with my partner Cole we grow more and more even through our roughest, most suborn, and unbalanced selves. I feel like today all I can think about is how beautiful and amazing my partner cole makes my entire life. As much as I've helped him become healthy in his diet, mind, and heart, he has surely done the same for me in ways I cannot begin to explain. As we learn more about raw foods the more excited we become with our life a…

Sorry, guys, this is no recipe.
While perusing a friend-of-a-friend's blog the other day, I came up against a journal entry about vegetarian haggis.
The author's argument is that the idea of haggis oughta send vegetarians running in the opposite direction. It seems that the author would have less problem with eating a food called Buckwheat with Tasty Spices, but would shake hir head in bewildered dismay at this concept of vegetarian haggis.
When it comes to describing my food to people, I do…

when I was around 15-16 I was a terribly angry person, alot having to do with the unknown allergy I had imbalancing my hormones and moods. I have been going through these intense anger sperts, mostly when I am heightened by someone else, or I'm just intensely angry. Its like I feel like something is coming out of me, but I feel like.. I came to reason with my anger along time ago when I changed my diet and really worked on understanding it. So here I am not feeling like myself having anger burst…

While I was working as Director of The Fresh Network here in England almost 7 years ago, I accidentaly stumbled across some secret raw food files that crossed my desk that I shouldn't have seen....
Because what I read is so important I feel obliged to now share it with you despite the raw statute of limitations not having expired.....

...moving to another part of the country has been quite the adventure! many things have changed in our daily life!!!
...the biggest lesson I've learned in it all is that my body is capable of so much more when nourished properly, & so much less when eating food that was never intended for fuel!
I'm easing into my 100% raw commitment...I was hoping to dive full blast into it right away, but am needing to get more groceries...I lost my bank card along the way, which has delayed things, but I h…

Well, I fell off the wagon back in April and some time in June I re-committed to this path. I am officially off milk (super yeah because that was really difficult), caffeine and anything processed or white (i.e. sugar, pasta, rice - though every once in a blue moon I will have a bit). I now don't go up more than 2 pounds before I nip it in the bud and somehow that seems to work. Since I've recommitted I've gone down 10 pounds (after having gained back 5) and see myself continuing on this downwar…

I have been working a lot, producing and selling. And I have been moody, not getting enough sleep. Then a call from a much loved sister, who offers me the possibility of a gift in the fall.. a flight back east to see sisters, meet her new honey, his kids, see their house, the beach, NYC at it's best in the fall. And it terrifies me and makes me feel like such a failure. A disappointment to me and my sister. I have come a long way since I fell in January, but it has been slow, hard won progress.…

I guess the thing with raw food is the calling has to be right. You may feel so strongly called to it, but yet your timing has to be smooth in order to successfully move into it right. This is my issue. I feel so called to it, I know my body loves raw food, I don't even crave half of the stuff I used to eat! The timing is off however. Training and transitioning into raw foods is a bad idea I feel like. I feel contradictory but its the honest truth, so don't try transitioning into raw foods while…

(ZuZu asked me what my goals were and to share them. Here we go!)
One of my main goals is to find my will-power again. I'm not sure where I lost it, but it was strong and powerful. Friends even commented on how great it was, its out there and I'm determined to find it again. My husband Ryan says that I "...loose integrity at the moment of choice." He's nailed it, right on the nose.
Secondly, I want that joyous, lovely feeling back again. The lightness in my step that I used to feel when I was…

Been rather depressed lately and as a result my eating has been out of control. Which in turn is only fueling the depression fire. I get frustrated when I know that eating lots of high sugar foods is only going to feed the cycle and yet I eat them anyway.
My birth control pills, Yaz, are supposed to help with mood swings but I swear they make them worse. Or it could be all in my head....a very likely explanation.
Tomorrow I'll be going back on low glycemic though not 100% strict phase 1. I will…

I would like to start a raw food meet up in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area and was wondering if anyone has any experience starting one up. Like, how did you find a location, how did you find people, etc. etc. Anyone have any internet sources that helped them with it?
Thanks!

Moody for a few days now.. aching in the side.. I have been taking malic acid daily, sometimes with each meal since my last flush at the beginning of June. I am going to the HFS for apple juice, grapefruit and a new item.. banaba tea- or celery seed tea. It is a great idea to help my kidneys between liver flushes.
I have had so many huge benefits from cleansing and flushing that I feel a lift when I decide to embark on another.. and I am feeling it today. I will hot foot it as soon as I may and…
