100 Day Raw Food Challenge

Today I've had...
a ton of grapes!
smoothie
apple juice
amazing grasses: perfect meal
ice
ani phyo's corn chowder
chowder base:
3 ears of sweet corn
3/4 cup walnuts
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic
1 tsp sea salt
2 cups water
chowder toppings:
1 cup corn, set aside from above
1 avocado
1/3 bunch cilantro leaves
1 tsp cracked black pepper
blend base, then top with toppings!
this was the first time i have ever used this recipe, i got the recipe book only a few days ago. It was delicious, but i think the olive oil could be cut back. A enjoyed a bowl of it, with extra cilantro, but afterwards suffered of an upset stomach.

the past few days i had been camping. it was really nice and brought me back to nature. my boyfriend and i encountered opossums, deer, raccoons, rats, nutria, egrets, and frogs. it was really cool to watch the frogs lick up all the bugs.
Today my grandmother told me egrets were endangered, which is odd to me because they're in such abundance here in Louisiana.
On our camping trip i slipped twice. It was hard being in a town where everything closes at sundown. I'm used to the night life of new orleans where you can go to the grocery or any place till midnight or later. So i ate cooked beans twice, but the rest of my trip i stayed raw. I feel better now that I'm home and close to all my favorite kitchen pals. My vita-mixer, dehydrator, food processor, and raw goodies.
yay for returning to my haven.
